Charlie Kirk shot at (shot?) in Utah

NY Times seems to confirm Charlie Kirk was shot, they believe from a shooter 200 yards away. Shooter in custody. Nothing on Kirk's condition. It doesn't sound good.

Very early in these breaking situations is generally not the time for substantive comment anyway. Almost always, some aspect of the initial reporting is at best incomplete, at worst misleading.
 
Very horrific, graphic video of the shooting. Doesn't look like he could have survived it.

Charlie said some very unfortunate things. It is unsurprising that some of that misfortune should visit itself upon him.
Looks like he had maybe twenty seconds before bleeding out, so... sayanara Charlie unless there was immediate intervention. If that was an AR round, no intervention would likely save him.
 
I imagine the weapon was purchased lawfully for unlawful purposes. Though, a 200 yard shot, I imagine requires skill and maybe it was his own gun for a while.

Domestic terrorism is nothing less than that. It diminishes us all, as will the response to it.

Totally agree. This SUCKS.
“Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind” is pretty cold comfort. Nobody likes a whirlwind, but you can bet we will all be subjected to it now.
 
And of course, the motive isn't know until the motive is known. This guy could have been preventing Kirk from welcoming the alien hordes from Zeta Alpha VII.

If so, it seems to have worked. Haven seen a single alien horde from Zeta Alpha VII ever since he was shot.
