Is groundwater an issue for the ballroom? I'd say the interesting part of his statement is that it is "not that uncommon" while saying that it is "something you only do in an emergency".

An emergency? Not really. If you are doing a "reverse bathtub" you need to design it to manage the uplift because you've decided that you aren't dewatering or you want to permanently keep the water off the structure.

This was an amazing incident. None of the madman's coterie had the gumption to send out a 2nd-string speechifier and announce that the Great Man had an urgent phone call.

Have our MAGA sympathizers commented on this? D would change the subject to the bitchiness of bar maids that don't put out for him.
T would roll his eyes and brag about weather at his beach. R would say "Trump may not be perfect but he's better than any Demonrat."

Speaker Johnson is slightly more sophisticated. He has 99 ways to paraphrase "I'm rubber and you're glue."
