It does seem like a regretted drunken hookup.

The problem is that Dems have for decades been preaching about "believe all women" and "if a woman is drunk, she can't consent". People like Swalwell (and earlier, Al Franken) are being hoist with their own petard.

There's nothing to explain beyond what I have already said. I make decisions about guilt or innocence based on evidence, not some pundit take on the news or my "party's" rhetorical ruts. So I'm not going to form, and do not form, dogmatic opinions about whatever popular court cases are dominating social media at the moment. Deciding a jury is wrong because they disagree with Donald Trump when they've seen all the relevant evidence and he has not is absurd.

Nor have you answered my question of what you think should happen to illegal aliens in local custody for some crime.

People who are convicted with a crime should be subject to deportation, and I know of no politician or political party that would disagree on that point. "Custody" on the other hand, can just be neighborly or police harassment. A ride in the back of a police car is not proof that one is a criminal, especially not when every two bit rent-a-cop wannabe is running around pretending to be an immigration officer these days, with only a gun and 22 weeks of training as credentials.

I wonder how badly the severe coming drought in the west will affect the fish? There is no snow in the mountains right now. Worst ski year in 20 years.

That was a major factor in a series of horrific fish kills over the last ten years.:(

But not the only factor, and happily we are removing zome of the others. Not only have we dismantled the Iron Gate Dam, which killed 83,000 baby salmon two years ago, the first year showed incredible evidence of ecosystemic recovery:

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. local time Sunday, as cellphone video captured a large crowd fleeing as shots rang out. All four victims are expected to survive, according to authorities.

The Rosemead shooting comes weeks after another violent street takeover near Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, where a crowd smashed windows and forced its way into a luxury apartment building. One person was stabbed in that incident.
