Yet another war, this time with Iran

And we'll be one hit on a US Navy ship away from it all hitting the fan.
That's probably what he wants.
I doubt it. If he wanted to pound Iran, he could have. What Trump wants is to look good. Problem is, he broke something and made it much worse than it was. And he lacks any of the prerequisite skill required to "fix" it. Trump wants to win so badly and has a remarkably incompetent administration to try and salvage a draw in what has otherwise been a very poor set of geopolitical achievements. Yes, they managed to hurt Iran. But they haven't changed much in Iran, and what has changed is hurting the global economy.

So the Trump Admin is doing what they are best at... stupid. The question becomes, a Chinese registered ship really going to be stopped from going to a port in Iran?

The USA will blockade the Strait of Hormuz in order to force Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Does anyone else find that confusing?
Iran is only blockading enemy ships, their allies are allowed through "for a small fee". We are essentially threatening to copy what they are doing, and cut off access to the Strait altogether. Presumably unless "for a small fee". The difference being that they aren't our waters, so when we do it, it's piracy.

There's nothing like calling your opponent crazy bastards and mocking their religion to bring about a meeting of the minds.
You forgot threatening to end their civilization overnight unless they impossibly attempt to do on their own what he himself cannot do with all the resources if the world's richest nation: overthrow their government, to make themselves his subjects instead.

What basis do you have for your unsupported belief that there is any military action the US could plausibly take that would "likely lead to a defeat of the Regime"?
Why would it not? Military action led to the defeat of the Nazi regime too, for example.

I figured you’d ignore my previous post on this. Can you articulate for us what it took to defeat Nazi Germany — how many men in uniform, how many causualties, how many allies we fought with and what their casualties were?

I’m sure you can’t, so scroll up sand find the numbers I already provided.

Meanwhile, keep on keyboard warrioring!

Well, Trump is doing Trump.
Trump on his Boutique Social Media platform said:
Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea
Trump threatening ecological nightmare by blowing up ships with oil. The issue was the insurance companies feared Iran. Now they need to figure out how much they fear the United States and idiot they voted to lead the country.

That would be another crime. Blowing up a non-combatant civilian cargo ship.

What is confusing is why that would induce Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump whiffs at softball thrown in Fox News interview.
article said:
During a Sunday interview with Fox News, the president was asked by host Maria Bartiromo whether the price of oil and gas will decrease before the midterms in November.

“I hope so, I mean I think so,” Trump responded. “It could be or the same, or maybe a little bit higher, but it should be around the same.”
If you watch video of the interview, you can see Bartiromo's eyebrows pop when he says "maybe a little bit higher". The best part is that Trump's answer ends with that the current gas prices will be the same come the election.

The interview continues on and Trump says other nations will take care of the mine issue in the Strait of Hormuz.

I recall that Trump was claiming a while back that when it's all over oil and gas prices will be a lot lower than they were before he started the war.

What mechanism would cause that I have no idea. I'm sure he didn't have any idea either. (Like no it won't be lower)

But I'm surprised he's not making that same claim now. Maybe he forgot that he was making that claim.

I was listening to a Mideast expert on NPR.
He said it was naive to think that JD or anyone could solve this problem with one meeting.
After nearly 50 years of bad choices, it is way too complicated to fix easily.
Bullshit. We’re not trying to solve the problems and bring peace to the entire Middle East. Just stop this stupid fucking war. Stop this blockade. Stop attacks on ships transiting the straits. Stop bombing Iran. Clear the mines. Get the gulf countries rebuilt. Ship oil.

That’s all we need to do. Frankly we basically had that deal. Now Trump and Vance fucked it up. Now they want to blockade Iran, an undeniable act of war. The stupidity of this administration is beyond belief.

Just say we won and quit. At this point that’s the least unpalatable option.

He never said that. If you see a quote to that effect, it’s fake news. Please refer this to the ministry of truth.

That isn't the goal. The goal is to try and goad them into firing on one of our ships

1) Because Iran will do exactly what China asks them to do. Iran and China are not just allies, Iran is mostly sub servant to China just like the US is sub servant to Zionist Israel.

2) The rest of the world is slowly making other plans for trade other than the Strait of Hormuz. Thus the longer this goes on, the less important is the Strait of Hormuz

I'm not saying I agree what Trump is doing. But I can at least understand the leverage he hopes to gain.

It amazes me how out of touch with reality your posts are.

People aren't working around the Strait of Hormuz for Urea, Gas, Oil. It isn't that simple!
