WOW. He actually said something that has become true. I wonder though if he realizes that he lost the popular vote on Tuesday.

It probably says that he didn't think he was going to win or really wanted to be President in the first place.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future" / Twitter
then
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "Lol at the “party of personal responsibility” being upset at the idea of being responsible for their behavior over last four years" / Twitter

AOC then ragged on the Lincoln Project of anti-Trump Republicans for having spent a lot of money without a lot to show for that spending.

Benjamin Dixon on Twitter: "The Lincoln Project got $67,000,000 to do literally nothing and the Black organizers that helped Biden win probably are short on rent this month." / Twitter
then
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "It’s not too late for them to do the right thing. ..." / Twitter
It’s not too late for them to do the right thing. Lincoln Project should take the L and publicly pledge to give a lot of their fundraising to the people who actually made a big difference.

And if they spent it all (yikes) then they should consider using their fundraising juggernaut to get resources to those orgs.

If they need ideas there are plenty of recommendations here ⬇️

Who have been some of your favorite grassroots organizers, orgs, collectives, initiatives, etc that have been inspiring you lately? ⬇️ 💐

There’s potential incentive bc @ProjectLincoln is def in scam territory w these results. It’s a pretty bad rep even tho GOP has a thing for failing up.

Come clean, say “listen, we thought it’d work, it didn’t,& in good faith we’re gonna raise X mil for these ppl who deserve it”

And for folks who think it persuaded Republicans, I’d be interested to see data on how effective their videos and NYC billboards were at persuasion. Especially data that justifies $67,000,000.

It’s not that persuasion doesn’t work, it’s a Q of if this was persuasion at all ⬇️

It’s not the general “Never Trump” message that’s a failure per se, but the kind of videos they made are pretty well shown to not be persuasive for a Never Trump message. Explicitly insulting anti-Trump content isn’t what gets people to move. If anything it digs their heels in.

BTW I’m definitely happy to be proven wrong. If we can get independent data that @ProjectLincoln’s videos and billboards were directly responsible for really effective R ➡️ D persuasion - $67 million of it - I’ll publicly apologize. But we just haven’t seen any.

The AP, NYT, WaPo, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC all call PA for Joe Biden, and thus, the Presidency. The lone TV network and major news service to hold out: Fox News.

Twas the night before Trump removal,
when all through the White House —
not a creature was stirring,
not even Melania Mouse.

The stockings were hung
by the chimney for all,
in hopes that Saint Kornacki
would soon make the call!

The children were nestled
all snug in their beds,
while visions of 270
danced in their heads.

Kamala in her 'kerchief,
and Biden in his cap,
had just settled their brains for a short power nap.
When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
They sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.

Unlike dictators before him, from Pinochet to Hitler,
Trump barked his commands
thru an app he called Twitter!
He whined and he moaned,
And he lied through his teeth,
But he was destined to fail
In his attempt as a thief

His cries were ignored,
his legal arguments flawed,
No one could save him,
Not even Brett Kavanaugh

His press conference was shameful,
His false tweets were blocked,
So the Republicans began ditching him,
Even Rupert Murdoch!

The votes trickled in,
from Philadelphia to Georgia,
and no one could stop it,
not even Sebastian Gorka

The Lincoln Project failed
To sway Republican voters
Trump won them all
From the bikers to the boaters.

It was Detroit who saved the day!
Along with Atlanta, Milwaukee & Philly —
Relying on Republicans
Was very very silly!

The people had spoken
Their protests were loud,
Their turnout historic,
They made John Lewis proud.

On Arizona!
On Pennsylvania!
On Georgia and Nevada!
Who will give us 270?

And why should that matter?
It’s been four long years
Of death and despair,
But we’ve made it this far
And the end of Trump is near!

We have many battles ahead
For which we must fight,
But one victory is coming...
It is coming tonight!

So as Trump escaped
into the night sky,
He beat those reindeer senseless —
Then I heard Rudolph cry:
“Take care America!
This is your last try!

Merry Christmas to all!

And Joe Biden — let's get high!”

Wow! Now WSJ and FoxNews too. It's like an avalanche started. As soon as one declared they all joined in. And all because a few thousand votes came in from the largely Democrat Lackawanna county and the city of Philadelphia. It's like they couldn't wait to have it over and done with.

ETA - Or maybe FoxNews just doesn't want to be seen as being on the wrong side of history when the Trump shitstorm starts blowing.

There's a clip from the movie "Downfall" that has been repeatedly captioned. It might be nice to create a "fall of Trump" version, where he gets angry
