2020 Election Results

Since most of these news outlets follow the AP call, this crescendo of "calling it" is less impressive to me.

I will feel better when the states certify their election results. And I will feel even better when their electors faithfully perform their duties.

His lead in Nevada has widened to 26,000 votes; no recount is going to reverse that. Biden could probably have won without Pennsylvania. But I'm glad he took Pennsylvania.

A firm electoral college win, backed by the largest number of votes in American history; even with the nail-biter election night, it's going to be hard for anyone to make an honest argument against the will of people. Trump can suck a dick.
 
Looking forward to Republicans moaning and groaning about why they lost the White House.

Will they decide that the Libertarian Party was a spoiler? Let's see.

If they do, will they develop a raging hate-on for that party?

Will they start nicknaming Pennsylvania "Transylvania"?

Election *week* is finally over. Well quite longer than that if you count the duration of the campaigns.
 
Not the blue wave we expected, but might have been without Republicans closing polling stations, interfering with mail in voting, and just flat out lying. Cheating is all you've got when you're a tribalistic social dominance cult and have no conscience or principles.

We know that he's going to try to stir up drama with lawsuits and try to get his base to become violent. What else?
 
Another interesting note. This makes four consecutive presidential elections in which the Republican candidate has lost the popular vote. The RNC is facing a serious demographic problem. Where by "demographic", I mean its actual statistical meaning, not a dogwhistle for race issues. I mean that, mathematically, national elections are becoming harder and harder for them to realistically win. Trump may not like the Electoral College, but if the DNC actually desired to eliinate their rivals for good, eliminating it would be a good strategy for doing so, never mind the whole "packing the courts" bullshit.

I'm hoping the lawsuits will occupy much of his time; if he still thinks he can steal this election into mid-December, some of his other seditious acts might be curbed.

Best case scenario for next three months: Trump spends all his time and attention on legal actions related to the election and forgets all the destruction still available for him to commit in that time.

I'm thinking he may actually fuck off on an extended holiday. He'll say he's no longer the president, and ask why isn't Biden doing anything between now and January.
He will also say he is the president, and Biden can't do anything.
