Wow....interesting, given that Iceland is one of the few states where people register their religion so the church can be funded from taxes....disgusting idea.

Here’s some good religion news for once: Trust in Iceland’s National Church is dropping precipitously. A new Gallup poll found that only 33% of people in the country have “strong or complete trust” in the Church — down from 60% two decades ago — while nearly 40% of people have “little or no trust” in it.

I suppose that’s not completely surprising. After all, Iceland is the nation where literally 0.0% of people under 25 reject the idea that God created the universe.

But the number is still remarkably low given that 65% of the people technically belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland, at least on paper.

Gotta love that 0.0% number. I'm sure that LIRC will chip in with a diversion attempt around suicide rates or decline in trombone playing, or some other unconnected nonsense.

Funny - 0.0% rejection of creationism is a complete turnaround from just a few months ago.

Proofreading evidently isn't as popular as it probably should be.

If I lived in a country where a medium pizza pie at a medium-scale pizzeria cost the equivalent of $35 - $40, I'd question the existence of a loving creator, too.
