4th year honors thesis survey on conservative movements and values

I'd like to ask the OP if we will get to see some of the results. I presume this survey is posted on other boards and social media. This place is likely not to generate much sample but I am curious the number of screen-in's vs screen-outs too.

Hello! Yes, we intend to post the findings of our study in a lay-summary format. It will not be posted to message boards but will be accessible to anyone at the Social Change Lab website: http://www.socialchangelab.net/people.html

In regards to the sample - I am very open to your suggestions if you have any, on where and how I might generate a bigger sample. Forums and social media groups have not yielded the greatest success so far, and almost a perfect 50-50 split in screen-in's and out's.

Cool. I hope to remember to look.

What sample size are you aiming for?

It would be very interesting to see the survey instrument. In particular how you plan to banner (group) conservatives by legacy conservatives, neocons, religious conservatives, the new breed of reality-denying Trump cultists, etc.. instead of simple ranking by scale.

Patooka mentioned Stormfront and FreeRepublic, Those sources would likely be skewed towards Trump Cultists.

Are you planning to only cross-tab the data or is there a more sophisticated section using Conjoint or MaxDiff? MaxDiff would be interesting to see.

As far as finding more sample, I don't know. I presume you don't actually have a survey budget. Companies like Lucid or Dynata would charge around $3 per complete IIRC.

I guess your 50/50 split is from all sources and not just here? Are you tracking your completes by source?

There's a good number of conservatives at this website/discussion board. http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/forumindex.php

You could find more conservatives on forums that cater to their interest areas:

Country Music
NASCAR racing
Hunting
Homesteading
Christian forums
Pick-up truck forums
Farmers
Things with the word “Federalist” “Second Amendment”
