I have no idea where the thread on the Trump Organization fraud case exists, so this can be moved there is needed.

NY Appeals Court ruled, somehow in a 2 v 2 v 1 sort of way, that the fine was too high, but Trump was guilty. BUT...
article said:
Justice Moulton’s opinion upholding the case and wiping out the financial penalties received one additional vote, from the chief judge, Dianne Renwick.

Another judge, David Friedman, who has been skeptical of the accusations for years, wanted to throw the case out entirely, believing Ms. James had lacked the power to bring it.

Two other judges concluded that Ms. James had the authority to file the case, but wanted to provide Mr. Trump a new trial.
This would make the NY Times' note of the ruling being "convoluted" quite accurate.

As the ruling keeps the conviction and removes the fine, both parties may likely appeal to the State Supreme Court. No idea where the heck this ends.

Congress can issue proclamations of apology. Have they issued one to Trump, apologizing for the Deep State daring to question his phone call to Zelenskyy, his document hoard, his treason on Jan. 6? If they have, I haven't heard about it, and T obviously has enough toadies and bootlickers on the Hill to curry favor by drafting such a statement. This Congress would pass it. WTF are they waiting for?

Considering our slimeball president's luck with gaming the judicial system, I think it's still even money that he'll pay up. I know this is a NY court, but his legal team can still dream up delays.
Moral of the Trump Era: Lying pays, crime pays; never own up to wrongdoing, just attack your accusers. Always talk fast enough, with a blizzard of nonsense, that you'll wow the yokels who believe your BS. Say 'fuck' as president, these ass clowns love you for it.
