A day without stupid?

No one has really established migrant labor is actually a problem in the US that requires solving.
What does migrant low skilled labor provide that AI and technology can not?
The "labor" part.
The US already has 300+ million people and 50% of them together are already poorer than Elon Musk. How is importing more people who can not buy anything and do not know how to do anything going to improve the situation in the US? Is it going to reduce wealth inequality somehow???
You didn't actually show how migrant labor is a problem. Can you demonstrate that without resorting to an ad hominem against migrants?
That was so clever on your part! If your migrant labor is not a problem than neither was the slave labor during the 1850's. Because labor by itself is not really a problem is it? Other than increasing the overall supply of it which is generally favorable for management and unfavorable for workers.

But you just can not separate the actual labor with the people or the situation of the people who are doing that labor. Doing so is completely disingenuous to the discussion.
So which labor markets are migrant workers saturating the labor pool?

Adding just 1 person in the labor pool causes all labor to be worth less. All labor classes are affected by adding 1 more migrant worker. Even the brain surgeon salary is affected by adding more migrant workers. That's because more of something is worth less. And when a person doing a low level job is added the previous labor will take the next higher position and displace that person and so on. It is like dominoes all the way to the highest labor positions.

And demand works in the opposite direction as well. When a new billionaire high rise tower is constructed in NYC, it reduces homelessness. The ultra rich moves to the penthouse and the next affluent person takes his old apartment and the real estate trades work down to the very lowest levels until a homeless person can actually afford something left and now priced within his means.

The law of supply and demand.

Funny you are arguing about "labor classes" as such to a person with the handle "Jimmy Higgins".

You didn't answer the question though. I asked about saturation. Saying one person is too many is problematic, particularly in areas where we don't have enough labor in that market to begin with. Though you did give me an idea of an Onion like article about how unskilled migrant labor is unemploying CEOs.

*spit take*

Picking crops.

Seriously hard to automate. Seriously tough work. No American would stoop* to it.

You can have migrant low skilled labor, or you can have very expensive food.

* Pun intended, as usual.

What does migrant low skilled labor provide that AI and technology can not? And on the side of consumption. What kind of buying power, and demand can they possible provide which will help to drive more sales?

The US already has 300+ million people and 50% of them together are already poorer than Elon Musk. How is importing more poor people who can not buy anything and uneducated going to improve the situation in the US? Is it going to reduce wealth inequality somehow???
That musk guy you mention and a couple of other have more capture of our government than Israel. Their border show and violence is part of their strategy to keep it that way.

I don’t think AI can install roofs, pavers, crawl through the Florida swamp to hack and squirt invasive old world climbing fern, pick water melons… If you want to address regressive taxes and scammy oligopolies then maybe you should back away from the fear mongering algorithms and xenophobia and take a look at politicians that support labor, consumer protection, … You know the ones that the oligarchs paint as commie antichrists.

Here's a good one

Trump is angry that South Korea won't support his dumb war with Iran, that nobody wants.

A situation that couldn't be less of South Koreas problem. Why would they ever get involved?

Then Trump cosies up with Kim Jong Un and now want to be bff's forever.

Trump's school yard bully tactics just keep going

It is difficult to tell what this is. Trump in Term One went from hellfire to North Korea to signing a cocktail napkin agreement with North Korea that wasn't in line with US foreign policy (ie Trump didn't understand what denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula actually meant). So reestablishing his nonsensical bromance with Kim could just be a checklist thing along with Trump making the rounds with Greenland.

This could be because South Korea doesn't support the Iran nonsense (eastern Asia was among the regions that felt the oil supply issues first) or if Trump is continuing with the leadership via chaos crap. At this point, we are really unaware of what in the heck is driving this Administration. Is this Iselin in charge, an idiot in charge, or people creating enough distractions to grift the heck out of America, looking to seize permanent control of the US, or some combination of those?
Ill make it easy for you to understand. Israel is in charge and US voters are not.

Oh, no, not those dastardly scheeming Jews again.

I'm sorry, but that's a preposterous idea. Israel is a tiny country (without oil) surrounded by enemies (with oil) and USA is, pretty much, their only friend.

USA is just friends with Israel because it allows them to have western friendly bases in the Middle-East. This is good for USA. Israel is the only democracy. So they're ideologically alligned. USA's alliances with the rest of the Middle-East are weak as fuck.

Your stupid conspiracy theory is stupid.

You are aware that the Jews don't really control the banking systems?
Where are the bases? In Israel? Does Israel control the bases in Saudi Arabia and Iraq? I thought the whole reason for the petro dollar was an agreement with Saudi Arabia to provide our protection in exchange for their pricing oil in dollars? Was this arrangement something that only Israel could make happen?

If Saudi Arabia withdraws their friendliness with USA, USA will start using Israel as a base. Having that option takes negotiating power away from Saudi Arabia. Israel is a tiny country, space is at a premium, and from a tactical defensive point of view, it's a terrible place to place an army. If USA has an option of where to place their planes, it'll obviously be Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Arbian alliance is one of convenience. There's zero loyalty in it.

Israel is the only actual friend USA has in the Middle-East.

I also think you underestimate just how dangerous and destablising Iran is to peace in the Middle-East. Now when Saddam is gone, there's only one dangerous loony dictatorship left in the Middle-East, Iran. The Arab states all love USA right now... and Israel. They can't say it. But I think it's the truth. They all love that USA is bombing Iran. I think that the real reason why USA is doing it. Not because of Israel.

Until now Iran has been spreading their little terror cells and hitmen all over the world, and left unchecked. Everyone is so fucking sick of them. Iran getting strafe bombed is some well earned payback. Yes, it's annoying for the Arab states, and it disturbs the flow of oil. Which they don't like. But they all like Iran getting hit hard.

I still think you sound like a conspiracy theorist.

Real politik cares about wealth and power. Follow the money... etc. Israel doesn't have any.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that the Arab states don't like eachother. They have a bunch of inconvenient trading obstacles for trade with eachother. Instead, most trade goes through, Israel. Because Israel makes trade easy. That makes the Arabs like Israel.

Because of Islam = Arabs have to pretend to hate Israel
Because Israel is a western style liberal democracy = Arabs really like Israel.

This can make it confusing to interpret the statements by Arab countries.

And occasionally Israel overplays their hand, which pisses the Arabs off, like when they tried bombing the Hamas leaders in Oman. Not a good move.
