AI video enhancement

That technology seems like magic to me... same with just about anything from the "Two Minute Papers" videos...

Actually the 60 fps image when viewed directly would be clearer and sharper if our eyes were better at processing input.
Yeah I think it's at the limit of perception for most people...

The eventual consumer of all 3D rendering is the human visual system. With display technology and real-time hardware rendering speeds ever increasing, we are on the threshold of a generation of machines that will surpass the visual system’s input capabilities. On a machine witha single user and a sustained render frame rate of 60 Hz, even present day CRTs exceed themaximum spatial frequency detection capability of the visual system, in regions away fromwhere the fovea is looking.

I hope this means that it will soon be economically feasible to re-master some older TV shows/movies into higher res.

Babylon 5, I'm looking at you!

Yeah it would make people's 720x480 DVD collections take advantage of their high def TVs... if this can be done in real time...

Guess I'm too old. Lost all interest reflex action games, actually most video games individual and group for that matter. Son loves them and he's in his mid-fifties.

I tried to evaluate EPIC's design engine though. Seems a bit old school like stuff I was using on Toaster in the nineties.

Actually EPIC's build approach is a bit like the environment I used while prototyping C-17 flight display in late eighties and early nineties. There, when first parameter is chosen, say airspeed, subsequent design elements rolll up naturally leading to related parameter iterations such as scroll rate, color, attitude, and so forth.
