Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is asking applicants to serve on state boards and commissions to write explanations of what they admire about her leadership most, reported the Arkansas Times on Tuesday.

They're not even pretending to do a proper job anymore.

Taking a page from Donald Trump's playbook, I see.

Next she'll have them all take turns stating what a privilege it is to serve in her administration at the start of every meeting.

I don't think I can stretch "took advantage of nepotism" into 500 words.

I thought this thread would be about Bernie doing drag. What a letdown, lmao

Dear Your Majesty,
I am utterly smitten with the Picasso-esque arrangement of your facial features ...
- your devoted cushy job applicant

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) is facing new questions over a custom $19,000 lectern her office purchased earlier this year.
The lectern in question is a custom blue wood-paneled stand purchased with a government credit card in June. Matt Campbell, a lawyer and blogger, first posted the invoice for it on X, formerly known as Twitter, last month, prompting a political firestorm over its sky-high price. Similar lecterns sell for much less, but the governor’s office paid the invoice to an events company called Beckett Events LLC, whose founder was once a lobbyist in the Washington, D.C., area.

Now more has been revealed. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been under scrutiny for financial mismanagement after she used money she claimed was for a new lectern was used for a trip to euro Disney for friends. Totaling some $19k which is quite the lectern. When scrutiny kicked in she quickly snagged a cheap lectern and claimed it was what the money paid for. This didn’t go over well and now there’s a lot of questions being raised.

So no one wants to talk about SHS' corruption, embezzlement, and really ugly lecturn?

I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what is being asked on the application.

From the Raw Story headline:

Sarah Sanders asks state board applicants to name what they admire about her most while applying for job

From the Raw Story text in the article:

"Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is asking applicants to serve on state boards and commissions to write explanations of what they admire about her leadership most, reported the Arkansas Times on Tuesday."

When you go to the Arkansas Times link provided by the Raw Story article, you get this headline at the AT:

Gov. Sanders wants to know how much you like her before you can be on a state board or commission

From the Arkansas Times text in the article:

"The application form you must fill out to be considered for a post on state boards and commissions includes this question: “What is an accomplishment of the Governor’s that you admire the most?”"

How come there is no agreement on exactly what is on the application? It can't be that hard. There are four different descriptions (paraphrased), all of which have different meanings:

1) What do you admire about her most?
2) What do you admire about her leadership?
3) How much do you like her?
4) What is an accomplishment you admire most?

She's kind of an idiot to begin with, so what is the point of confusing things and making up shit to make her look bad, when she can do a perfectly fine job of that on her own? Not that I had a high opinion of Raw Story before, but this garbage knocks it even lower.

It amazes me how something like a lectern can become a scandal. People complain about Hillary Clinton and a sense of entitlement, but Sarah Sanders has here beat by a mile.

How is that surprising to you? On here, in the media and the DOJ, stealing a lectern from Congress is seen as a major crime.
People complain about Hillary Clinton and a sense of entitlement, but Sarah Sanders has here beat by a mile.
Does she though? It would be hard to beat Queen Hillary.

Hilary Clinton could have had a political career without Bill. I doubt the same can be said of Sanders.
