I just learned that the Philippines denies anybody who isn't a native Filipino from owning land there or practicing law or running many other sorts of businesses.
I understand the Japanese make it very difficult for foreigners to come in and get work in Japan, even if you want to immigrate. They don't want non-Japanese.
Why do we never hear about either of these countries taking these positions but constantly hear about western countries not doing enough to encourage immigration? I like immigration.
I am happy my country of Canada is very open to it. I wish other countries were, but I don't know how to encourage it.
