I just learned that the Philippines denies anybody who isn't a native Filipino from owning land there or practicing law or running many other sorts of businesses.

I understand the Japanese make it very difficult for foreigners to come in and get work in Japan, even if you want to immigrate. They don't want non-Japanese.

Why do we never hear about either of these countries taking these positions but constantly hear about western countries not doing enough to encourage immigration? I like immigration.

I am happy my country of Canada is very open to it. I wish other countries were, but I don't know how to encourage it.

Asian countries generally restrict immigration to spouses of locals and those with work contract.

Well, it makes sense for them to keep the white people out. So they don't get infected by racism.

Interestingly Japan more than anyone else really needs a new wave of immigrants. Their birthrates continue to fall and it threatens the continuation of their people. That's the problem with making "Your people" a matter of ethnicity in this age of globalism: it's incredibly inflexible.

Russia also has a similar problem! Its interesting how the nations right wingers hold up as model examples of proper immigration policy all have falling populations.

So, isn't the world already overpopulated? Japan is doing it's part.

No. It's not. That was an unwarranted paranoid fear from several decades ago. Get with the times.

Racism exists in Asia.

Because the U.S. is the center of the universe and dominates almost every media platform in existence, excluding Al Jazeera.

Well, sure, they haven't been able to keep out all the white people.

One thing to take into consideration, one word, "population density". Darn it, I meant two words.

The US ranks about 179... not about... the US ranks 179 in population density. Japan is 38th on the globe, the Philippines 39th, South Korea is 23rd. In western Europe, only the Netherlands and Belgium compete with these rankings. Canada is something like 400 out of 320 or so nations (possible rounding error), with only nations like Greenland, Mongolia, and Freedonia (fictional) being lower. Granted, habitable land in Canada is sparse and is limited to the northern US, but still even those areas have room for expansion.

As a white man, of course you do.

Racism by dictionary definition exists among non-whites too.

We know that. What's more, you know that we know that. Derail Derec just felt this thread needed one of his pointless asides.

If you want to get back to discussing important issues like how much the world's population goes up when someone moves across an imaginary line on a map feel free.

You know after a certain number of times you try people's patience you're only going to get away with it for so long. Sooner or later your obvious flaming and trolling derails will no longer be tolerated and you will be kicked out of the forum if only so the rest of us don't have to deal with you slowing down the conversation for no reason other than because you're a bitter old fuck with nothing better to do.

Lord Kiran is flaming and trolling dismal by calling dismal names and flaming and trolling him. Cute. Ironic if he got kicked out for that.

LordKiran is obviously in great denial about the effects of white imperialism in Asia (and elsewhere). This results in flinging about personal insults and bogus, innumerate sidetracks about how the earth's population goes up when someone crosses an imaginary line on a map.
