Anyone see Suicide Squad yet?

I don't read comics so I have no idea what the character are "supposed" to be like, but I enjoyed the movie just for the entertainment value. It was rushed trying to pull everyone's backstory in for context, which made the final conflict sorta fly by. I thought the attempt to compare deadshot to military assassins was interesting along with the moral equivalence thing.

an enjoyable movie--just sorry they killed off Adam Beach's character, not Boomerang. BTW, it's interesting and disturbing that the mes the Squad has to clear up is a mess caused by Waller's hubris and overreaching-- her underestimating another female.
I don't know why this movie got the bad reviews it did--perhaps the reviewers were generally Marvel-ers as kids.

I desperately wanted to like it. The premise had so much potential, and Suicide Squad is something that is genuinely different from anything in the Marvel universe. They could have cashed in on the post-Deadpool anti-hero wave and done something interesting and different.

Instead, it fell flat, at least for me. I'm still hoping DC will get one right. I got my fingers crossed for Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman is almost certain to reek. It's hard to see how Hollywood would get it right.

Such a stark contrast between Marvel's movies and DC's movies. Marvel is doing so good and DC so badly. And I say that as more of a DC fan than a Marvel fan when it comes to comic books.

Hey, before Iron Man came out, DC had the good movies (e.g. Dark Knight) and Marvel was playing catch-up. The shoe has just been on the other foot for a while. I'm more of a Marvel fan, but I would really like to see DC produce some better movies. They're about due.

It's DC's trying to play catch-up today that's the problem with it right now. They were trying so hard to get their Justice League up and running to compete with the Avengers' franchise that they went and jammed three movies into the BvS movie and didn't take the time to make sure that any of them were good. There were flashes of decent films here and there throughout it, but they quickly got lost in the muddle.

It would be nice if they turned it around and started putting out some decent films, but it seems to be a bit of a clusterfuck over there and I don't have high hopes for it.

I'll see it when it comes out on DVD.

Why? Are you going to be watching it in 2005 or something? It will be available for streaming at the same time, you know.

Yeah, that's what I meant. When it comes out on dvd it becomes also available for streaming and that's how I'll get it. I can't remember the last time I bought a DVD :D

It was September 14th, 2013 at 6:24pm. You bought a copy of Top Gun from the discount bin at the drug store around the corner of your house. Coincidentally, this was also the last time you bought anti-fungal medication, so I'm glad to see that cleared up.

If you have any other questions about your purchase history, please contact me at tsawyer@nsa.gov and I'll be happy to help.
