I don't have to watch it to see stupid humans once again being stupid. I checked the comments. I get that its a kids movie and scripting for that scene was inappropriate, but so is the script in a bunch of kids movies. The theme to nearly every Disney flick where an already princess or else a pauper marries a prince teaches kids the only way a girl means anything, or else the only way she can improve her status/station/living condition is to meet with some dude, have a dance and a song, fall madly in love as result an never divorce. As a kid, I never saw it that way, nor did I think I should emulate any of the characters, cuz ya know, fiction I fiction, reality is reality, people need to stop trying to blend the two together when they don't fit.
If parents are worried about what their kids are gonna see when watching something, test it out first. I know a few who do that with video games, and then first time their kids play it, they then have a pow-wow on it to see if the kids caught the underlying themes/crappola interjected into it by the makers, and whether or not any of them think any of the situations on the games either could or should be repeated in real life. I know it's "crazy" to think most kids are quite capable of viewing fiction for what it is, but most of them do just that every day. Except with zombies. apparently more of them think a zombie apocalypse is logically possible and going to happen than the ones who do not. This is stupid, and so are people.
On a side note, I've no idea why anyone would think the premise of this film is noteworthy enough to take anyone else to go see it. I miss Land Before Time and Homeward Bound, as cheesy and overblown in acting/writing as they were, because at least you could argue they made for decent kids' films. But we'll likely never see stuff like that again, cuz kid's no longer have the attention span or desire for such fare, and nor do parents. Such is life.
