The only way they could make the W tax cut affordable was by sunset'ing it. Well, that never really happened.

In fact, the GOP has demanded the Bush tax cuts be made permanent. Despite the fact that these tax cuts have been driving massive deficits.

I don't think taxes are as a big a problem as spending. We can afford a better welfare state. Instead we're told that sick, unemployed, and poorly educated is the best we can do until the private sector is sufficiently incentivized.

Funny how poor people need to be incentivized by cutting benefits but rich people need to be rewarded with benefits to incentivize.
