Yeah, he kind of downplayed the notion of anti-atheist discrimination, and was overly reluctant to say religion has anything to do with being anti-science. True, atheists are not the worst off minority, but still I'm afraid Obama is not woke there.

I just watched the full Maher/Obama interview, and as a neutral (i.e. non-American), I found myself becoming sadder and sadder throughout the whole thing. Because what I saw in the interview was somebody who's been doing what he can for the last 8 years, while realising that he couldn't do everything that was expected or hoped of him.In 50-100 years time, lists of US presidents will have Obama near the top as far as "good" presidents are concerned ... unless Trump is elected on Tuesday and "the whole shithouse goes up in flames", to quote the late, great Jim Morrison. Hillary Clinton is flawed, deeply flawed; I have no illusions about that. But Donald Trump is both a walking disaster and, on a much larger scale, a disaster waiting to happen. By comparison with either of them, Obama is a good president to have (had). By comparison with at least half of the previous presidents, Obama has been a good one. It's a shame the next one will be worse, but how much worse depends on whether the US electorate wants to vote for more or less more of the same despite a whiff of corruption or none of the same with a whiff of Mutually Assured Destruction.

You could have clarified why you call her "flawed". Having other opinions than you is not being flawed. Calling her flawed is same bullshit as calling her "crooked" and just shows how far you all have been affected by the propaganda.

Well pardon the fuck out of me for not being oh-so specific about the obvious flaws of Hillary's candidacy. I obviously should have mentioned her record as Secretary of State and as FLOTUS and as Senator and what she did/didn't do in all those offiices regarding ... no. Forget it. I don't need to deal with all the reasons why I called her a "flawed" candidate. That's all common knowledge, and doesn't need me repeating any of it. If you think she's a perfect candidate, more fool you, but I wouldn't hold it against you. What pisses me off is your knee-jerk assumption that, because I stated the bleeding obvious about her non-perfection as a candidate, it must be her lack of a penis that bothers me.
