Buckle up for WW3

I remember a friend pointing out in the late 90'ies how leftists don't read Marx anymore, and haven't the basic concept of the ideological underpinning of socialism.
In what meaningful sense are they a "Leftists", then? Favorite team color in the election map? Non-specific love of taxation?

The 80's was way more woke than the left was in the 2010's. The divisions between the right and left were way more extreme than today. The world just seems to have collective amnesia about that.

The reaction was a decadent 90'ies. "The death of values". Being superficial and horrible was the ideal. The latest woke trend was a response to that. Hegel nailed it!
What the hell do you mean when you say "Woke" anyway? Please define it

Here's from another thread where Steve asked the same question

WW3 is already going on and Europe is/will be a sideshow.
It's in Asia. US is trying to cut China off from the sea oil and trade routes and cause economic troubles for them.
US is also trying to destroy BRICS. Brazil and India are the weak links. So BRICS is essentially Russia and China

I doubt that US will succeed. China is not an island like Japan in WW2, and it is much bigger and has allies. With Russia it has all the resources to develop further. China should concentrate on internal development more (and they are doing that), so that it is less dependent on being manufacturing center of the world.
