Californians Misunderstand $3 gas threat due to Pipeline shutdown

Surprised they are putting this much info out there, or if they are purposefully rattling the bushes and looking for movement.

That kind of surprised me too. Now anyone who gets the cheddar will immediately take their wallet offline.

Educate me - what does that mean? I thought bitcoin transactions were "public". Does it mean cashing in and getting out of the bitcoin market?

I've seen people seemingly support Bitcoin by saying it was private and public. And the public aspect could be a problem for thieves after all.

The trouble could become that Bitcoin is a decent way to hide stolen goods, but turning that to cash is a problem both due to the high volatility of Bitcoin and the larger part of the cash equation, as million dollar transactions make with the attention. You could maybe hide Bitcoin transactions, but maybe not the cashing out portion. And holding onto Bitcoin is problematic. Does make one wonder how much the Black Market has been involved in increasing the value of Bitcoin.
