China Stops Buying US Soybeans

No, no, this is what winning looks like. Cohn said America has to suck it up.
 
I wouldn't worry about this. I mean what do the Chinese use soy for? They've probably never even heard of it.
 
Maybe we can burn soy for fuel?
Retrain coal miners to harvest the soy we can't sell...

Actually I also found this. Looks pretty bad for the growers (but good for us tofu lovers).

During the past five years, we see that the total value of U.S. exports to the world has ranged between $17.8 billion and $25.9 billion, with the amount exported to China accounting for 55.3% to 62.1% (or about three-fifths) of the total from 2012 through 2017.
 
Half of US soybean production goes to China. This will have a huge impact on soybean producers.


You mean it will have a huge impact on the Chinese people, right?

Since when do we give a crap about people who produce things here?

Doesn't look that bad. Everyone else will export beans to China, we will export beans to everywhere else that wants them. Not quite enough but it will take a lot of the pain out of it.
