Congratulations to Virginia Governor Ralph Northam for taking down the statue of Robert E. Lee because "I believe that when we learn more, when we take that honest look at our past, we must do more than just talk about the future. We must take action. So I am directing the Dept. of General Services to remove the stature of Robert E. Lee as soon as possible."

I'm very proud of my state today. Yesterday, F'burg, VA police escorted protesters with fists in the air. Today, the gov announces the dismantling of a massive symbol of racism in our capital.
