That's just what the pirates want you to think. While you're sitting there focusing on the guy with the eyepatch, the other 13 pirates are looting your house and stealing your woman.

We do not dictate to pirates what is or is not appropriate for them to do with their missing eyes. They are individuals and they are free to choose an eye patch, a glass eye or just walk around with an empty socket if that's how they prefer to express their pirate identity. They tell us what they want to do and we respect and validate their choice. We do not patronizingly decide that "all pirates would be better with glass eyes" and force them into government health care centers to install one.
It's called freedom and it's something that Canadians actually believe in.

The guy in the pic is not a real pirate. He just wants everyone to treat him as if he was a pirate, partly because he is a bit dyslexic. Apparently it all started after he thought he read about calls for more transpiracy in politics.
OK, it took me a couple of read throughs, but I see what you did there.

In fairness, the Republicans ran a number of additional women who didn't win; usually because they were going up against better women. But that's the problem with becoming branded as the anti-woman party, it's hard to get quality women to run for office on your team. Those selfish jerks with their wiles and whatnot.
