People Accuse Rage Against The Machine Of Being “Political” With Palestine Tweet

Every now and again, people (usually conservatives) hop online to announce to the world that they’ve been listening to the band Rage Against the Machine without comprehending a single lyric by complaining about the group being “political” in their social media posts. This time, the band posted in support of Palestinians, who are currently suffering under a surge of violence from Israel in the apartheid state they’ve created to oppress the indigenous population.

“The violence and atrocities we are witnessing in Sheikh Jarrah, the Al Aqsa compound and Gaza are a continuation of decades of Israel’s brutal apartheid and violent occupation of Palestine,” reads the tweet Rage’s official account.

Cue the angry comments from people who have no clue what the “machine” in the band’s name is referring to.

I for one don't think that people appreciate the Machine enough, and those who rage against it should get jobs and haircuts instead.
