Green accepted an endorsement from the white supremacist Chester Doles, who will be a neighbor of mine in the future, presumably. I am building a cabin in Dahlonega, Georgia in the North Georgia mountains.
Doles is not an upstanding citizen. He has two "timeouts" in Federal prison for his felony convictions. In terms that our anti-BLM'ers here would understand, a policeman would be entirely justified if he killed Doles in a traffic stop for a busted taillight.

It reminds of how nervous the Republican leaders were about the candidacy of another far-right, conspiracy theory believing, authoritarian worshipping racist running for the presidency, Donald Trump. And that worked out well, didn't it?
It amazes me that the Republican party thought that they could embrace the racists (and the other fringes of American political life) without the racists' shit eventually sticking to the party and to the conservative movement in general. If you base your appeals on lies eventually you are going to be a party of people who are divorced from reality because they were raised on the lies so they believe the lies, and leadership of the party who lie all of the time.
Lies like "the government is the problem," for example. Or the best way to boost the economy is with tax cuts for the already rich because it will trickle down to the lower classes. Or that we should run the government like a business, which granted isn't heard much any more in the age of Trump since his running the government like a business has had so many disastrous consequences.
