How is there not already a thread on this? Are all the folks here paid DNC operatives?

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will not speak at or preside over the party's convention this week, a decision reached by party officials Saturday after emails surfaced that raised questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary.

People have been suspecting this for a while.

I found this rather disturbing, but not surprising. Political parties first and foremost exist to protect their own privilege, hence the existence of super delegates and such.

I'm not like some others that are accusing the Trump campaign of collusion with the Russians. I do think the Russians are manipulating our democratic process for their own benefit, in that they know that Trump's policies are more friendly to them than Clintons, and that Trump is so ignorant that he would be much easier to manipulate in the long run.

The DNC's behavior here is reprehensible though, considering the stakes are a Trump presidency. Normally, I would say let the repercussions of this fall as they may, but with a Trump presidency looming on the horizon, I still have to vote for Hillary. Shame on the DNC for putting me in this position, though.

Is it your belief that 4,000,000 voters choose Clinton over Sanders because they thought that Sanders was an atheist?

No. In fact, I don't see a direct link between some of the "suggestions" in the leaked emails and official DNC policy. Nevertheless I think it calls the supposed neutrality of the DNC in this election into further question. I say further question because obviously there were calls of favoritism already as I'm sure everyone is aware.

Quoted, Schultz said 'I hear nothing, I see nothing, I know nothing!'

Democrats are trying to deflect by claiming that "experts" indicate Russia did it.

Yes, it does seem as a deflection of sorts, but it seems to me that the Russian connection could be true and that still would not excuse the behavior of the DNC.

I think that it's a pretty big story. Could be the first time that a foreign goverment was caught trying to influence US election. Of course, this probably happens all the time.

Vote to ensure Trump is not President.

So who wants to talk about the RNC efforts to derail the Trump candidacy?
