Donald Trump -- like spy John Walker?

And no, USSR had never had plans for preemptive strike.

Lol! Like it was ever a possibility, plan or no plan.
Of course, rumor (and evidence) has it that they still have at least one MAD site still operational. Which is fine, as long as it is designed and administered carefully enough that it won't accidentally be set off - which should be a concern. The US either has one too, or has the ability to make Putin believe we have one.

No, no. It's accurate. Mostly.
Sort of. Not the generals

Barbos has his own delusional ideas about that...

Then he's saying that they're just incompetent. It's not even a matter of moral superiority, just sheer necessity.

Saying that even if the US had a warhawk in the Oval Office, and was purposefully driving up anti-Russian rhetoric for the express purpose of justifying his own nuclear launch, they were helpless to shoot until after the totally predictable launch by the Americans. They never wrote down the locations of missile silos or attempted to track the boomer subs for the purpose of a preemptive strike in self defense.

Yeah. They were that stupid. Shiny halos, but stupid. That's what he's claiming.

I would like, just once, to have a reporter ask Bonespurs if he's ever heard of the Rosenberg and what happened to them.

They were the ones who quite likely and unintentionally saved this planet from nuclear war.

If they saved the world from nuclear war by giving Russia the bomb that means that if they hadn't been spying Russia wouldn't have had the bomb and it wouldn't have been a nuclear war in the first place.

Tell that to North Korea, and whoever wrote "Hunt for red October"
