Ok. But how would I know if these people are really poor? Are they? Seriously. There’s nothing in this video that indicates what their economic issues are. They could easily all be middle class blue collar or even professionals for all I know. This is just utterly stupid, and blatantly racist.

Well, I've always liked that song, but it was Martha and the Vandellas who did it originally. Their version was much better. And, we white kids loved the song. Has Halife every heard of a street party? They used to be very common back in my day.

Does Half realize that when some of us were little white kids, we played in the street all the time. When a car came through, we simply moved out of the way.

And, yes. I've lived on the edge of a ghetto in Trenton, NJ when I was in my early 20s. And, I visited a countless number of poor, older black adults who lived in a variety of ghettos in the South, when I was a home health nurse. I've been in housing projects and I've been in some of the worst neighborhoods imaginable. My patients liked me with few exceptions and I was happy to provide them with care and advocacy. It's probably what your Jesus would do Half, since Jesus was a poor man who seemed to think the poor were better than the wealthy. I don't think Jesus would be happy with anyone who judges people harshly because they dance in the street.

Democrats used to burn fiery crosses and be members of the KKK and have other vile associations that are now almost exclusively the domain of racist republicans. The old Dixiecrats are a good example, people who left the democratic party when it embraced civil rights.
