It's like,
You wake up three days before your 40th birthday, after a week of midlife crisis, suddenly realizing you've counted wrong and you're actually going to be 45 years old.

That's basically what just happened to Earth today...

Earth is around 60 million years older than previously thought -- and so is the moon, new research finds

More like, you wake up six months before your 40th birthday, to discover that actually your 40th is today.

So, that's.... like... long enough to have evolved a whole undocumented strain of fungus and extinguish it again, before anybody invents a hydra. Cool!

Yup, mistaking 40 for 45 would be like discovering that the Earth is actually about 500 million years older than previously thought.

No, it'll just be a repeat of 'you can't trust science as they keep changing their minds. All dating methods assume decay rates never change.

It's a multiple of six! Hallelujah! What is God trying to tell us here?? Six days! A day for God is like a bajillion human years!
