Some people subscribe to the Onion for their daily laugh, but I prefer the National Republican Senatorial Committee email newsletter. They face a strange problem since the GOP now has a majority in the Senate. There was a time when the NRSC could rail about the threats of horrible diseases, or the threat of illegal immigrants with horrible diseases, but now they run the risk of advocating something that could actually be accomplished. To reduce the possibility of any sort of productive effort on the part of Republican Senators, they have found a new source of the nation's ills.
There is a campaign underway to improve Michael Moore. Michael used to build cars, but discovered there was a good living to be made by posing as a Bizarro World Glenn Beck(honk if you get the Bizarro World reference).
I have to concede, their plan to "Tell Michael Moore to stop insulting our military," is probably more constructive than any of their pre-election proposals. Although it's not likely to have any more effect than quarantining travelers from Africa or building a fence across Arizona, telling Michael Moore to behave is something a Republican can actually do.
