Well, that's a compelling link. An optical illusion is just like speaking in tongues.

Of course, in my experience, optical illusions have different content based on how you look at it. Both are comprehensible, once you figure out how to see what you're seeing.
But the language of those that are speaking in tongues is incomprehensible. Not quite like an optical illusion in that it has different comprehensible meanings based on which way you're listening at it...
