Elon and his teenage mutant ninja turtles went in knowing they had to what they were going to do. A legitimate audit has a thrid party come in with a blank state and observe and look at finances and jobs and functions and develop a very detalied report....analyze that report and make recommendation from that report. This is all turned over to management, which in the case of the US is the Congress, where they review those recommendations and develop a plan on how to implement some or all of it without destroying the country. There is NO WAY that third party auditors would be anywhere NEAR having a complete audit, and there is NO WAY a third party auditor would take it upon themselves to eliminate jobs and programs. Yet our constitution loving patriots seem to have a lot in common with Russia and the only thing they give a shit about in the constitution is the right to bear arms? Does Putin allow you Russians to own guns? IF he does, maybe our patriots would make better Russians.

What I heard was Interns. Temps, latest hires (less than one year). If you believe that. Then going into the employee files, looking for 'libs'.

Exactly. When you engage in massive cuts you have a strong tendency to cut the lean and leave the fat. Short term gain, long term harm. Same as any corporate raider. And note his approach to determining waste--cut until it breaks, then back off. Note the result is you remove any safety margin.
