FBI recommends no charges against Mrs Clinton: let the accusations begin. Will this help or hurt HRC?

You're making a great case that she was incompetent.

Actually it sounds to me like the entire department was pretty lax about security. Note the point about ambassadors and their staffs discussing drone strikes.

Sure, and who was in charge of the department and set the tone?

You've made a great case that it doesn't matter what she did or didn't do. You would never support her. Vote for Trump.

More like Stein.

So suppose someone whom Hillary communicates with, such as Sid Blumenthal, has no security clearance. She sends an email to him about a classified subject, such as Libya military intervention. She wouldn't have marked it as classified (her issue) but shouldn't be sending it in the first place (her issue) and should not be sending it over a private email server (also her issue).
This never happened.

During the Chaffetz questioning Comey said Hillary did allow non-cleared people access to classified information.

Her attorneys  Yeah, I heard that exchange after I posted the above. So I guess that's going to be the hair-on-fire Republican faux-outrage since they can't find anything else... She let her attorneys go through the emails to provide the work-related ones as she was ordered to do, apparently not realizing that any of them would after-the-fact be declared contemporaneously classified, and a whopping three would have little (c)'s somewhere in the body of them.

Marine’s defense for disseminating classified information will cite Hillary Clinton’s case

A Marine Corps officer who has been locked in a legal battle with his service after self-reporting that he improperly disseminated classified information will use Hillary Clinton’s email case to fight his involuntary separation from the service, his lawyer said.

Maj. Jason Brezler’s case has been tied up in federal court since he sued the service in December 2014. He became a cause celebre among some members of Congress, Marine generals and military veterans after he sent a classified message using an unclassified Yahoo email account to warn fellow Marines in southern Afghanistan about a potentially corrupt Afghan police chief. A servant of that police official killed three Marines and severely wounded a fourth 17 days later, on Aug. 10, 2012, opening fire with a Kalashnikov rifle in an insider attack

FBI Director Comey: If Hillary Worked At The FBI There Would Be Consequences

In his testimony before the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee on Thursday, FBI Director James Comey explained that if a member of the FBI had handled classified information in the manner Hillary Clinton had on her private email servers, there would be a number of consequences.

But Hillary will not be punished at all

Chairman Chaffetz then went on to ask the FBI director what the consequences would be for Clinton if she had been in the FBI and carelessly handled classified information as she did as Secretary of State.

“There would be a security review and an adjudication of their suitability and a range of discipline could be imposed from termination to reprimand, and in between suspension, loss of clearance,” Said Comey. “So you could be walked out or, depending on the nature of the facts, you could be reprimanded but there is a robust process to handle that.”

“We’re mystified,” Chaffetz insisted during the hearing. “It seems that there are two standards, and there’s no consequence for these types of activities and dealing in a careless way with classified information.”

Way to selectively post to further your agenda

HRC does not work for the FBI. If she did, as FBI Director Comey VERY CLEARLY STATED, she would be subject to those same potential consequences. He also stated very clearly that if someone who no longer worked for the FBI was found to have violated security policy, the FBI could not do anything about it then either. The key point is whether the person is still employed by the FBI or State Department, not whether their name is HRC

The point is that we are about to give HRC a huge promotion. It would be like a FBI agent being given a promotion to director after mishandling emails.

We are.

Not you.

I don't give a rats ass about her fucking emails. Obviously none of them were hacked or we've had heard by now. She fucked up, and said she was wrong. If thats not good enough for you, then I guess thats just tough shit for you.

So it looks like there's going to be a follow-up. Not a criminal investigation but she could lose her security clearance. What that means for a potential president will be interesting to uncover.

Yes because the alternative is that the biggest narcisstic scam artist in the FBI will get the job otherwise. A narcissitic scam artist who spouts the anti-immigration and anti-Muslim bigotry you promote. You really are not fooling anyone with your posts.

This is the part that boggles my mind. Does any sane person truly believe that (1) HRC is really a security risk, and/or (2) the Trump is a better choice with regard to national security and/or classified information?

The butt-hurt amongst the rethugs on that committee was palpable.

Nothing. The "follow up" isn't actually any kind of follow up. It's more political gamesmanship.

This is an inquiry by the State Department, under Tony "Abe" Blinken, not an investigation called by congressional opposition.
