First salvo in Trump vs. Hillary

Look, I know you hate Hillary.
Hate is a bit of a strong word.
I'm certainly no fan, but to suggest that her main qualification is that she was the wife of Bill, is churlish and worthy only of something Trump would say.
Well it was a bit of a tongue-in-cheek exaggeration to fit the tenor of this thread.
Just a bit of exaggeration mind you. For example, she was able to carpetbag her way into the Senate based on her being Bill's wife.
Contrast this with her sycophants raving how she is the most qualified candidate in our lifetime etc.
She is not even the most qualified candidate running this election cycle. Take John Kasich. State Senate, House of Representatives - including a stint as Chairman of the Budget Committee, Governor.
Or take Bernie. Mayor of Burlington. House of Representatives. Senate, including Chairman of VA Committee.
She was a US Senator for 8 years and was the Sec. of State for 4 years. One could easily work up an argument about how bad she was in her roles, but not that she has no paper/resume qualifications.
SecState was a good stepping stone to presidency in the early days of the US but not so much now. And what accomplishments can she boast from her time as SecState other than logging most miles and dodging questions about Benghazi. By the way, recently she said we did not lose a single person in Lybia...
Her Senate career was similarly undistinguished.
By such views, Cruz and Rubio are completely unqualified...
Rubio and Cruz are a bit like Obama. Relatively thin resumes because they are still very young. Although, Cruz with his stints as Rehnquist's clerk and solicitor general of Texas is surely no slouch.
P.S.: If Bill is "Big Dog", what does that make Hilary? ;)

I dunno, I didn't know Senate seats were handed out...Is there a Senate Fairy?
There is if you are connected like Hillary is.

Clinton was an accomplished lawyer,
Lawyers are a dime a dozen among politicians. Besides, didn't she use those lawyerly skills on behalf of Walmart?
a very pro-active First Lady, then a Senator, and Secretary of State. It is as if none of this shit matters to some people... only that she was First Lady and her life's work ends at that point.
The problem is hyperbole that claims she is "most qualified in our lifetime". Sure, she has some qualifications but she is not even most qualified one running this time around.

With the tenor of posts that you typically put out there, your tongue-in-cheek is pretty hard to pick up on, but fine. Yeah, she carpetbagged her way into NY. I didn't get it, but NY is NY voter's problem.

Trump won't care if it's in poor taste.
Speaking of taste ...

It will be interesting to see at what stage Bill Clinton enters in. I suspect Trump is waiting for him
When there is something in it for him.

Alright, that last one is hilarious.

Weren't those things handed to her because of her last name?

I thought the left hated that.

The leftwing of the party does not like the Clintons. The centrists like the Clintons, which makes sense since they are centrists.

Agreed. I typically need him on hide because the graphics he posts are so embarrassing. But I really like the "binder full of women".

Well, it'll sell well with people that already don't like Hilary Clinton.

yeah, but if that is "brutal" - Donald Trump has a smaller penis than even Rubio thought. Seriously, that ad will only appeal to the very lowest imbeciles in Trump's fan base.

Good for Hillary for hitting back. It won't have the same newness feel, but it is good to hit back fast. Something that John Kerry never seemed to figure out...

Holy Zeus!!!! Stop the presses; we have a major story here....NOT.   Who will give a shit about a statement that has been running for over 2 decades, but for the frothing lemmings?
Here in Australia a recent Treasurer was accused of corruption,so he filed a lawsuit.

as long as the President keeps invading and bombing other countries and shipping deadly weapons around the golbe, then who cares if the President is corrupt?

Stockholders in those companies. If the President isn't corrupt, they don't have to bribe him or her to buy their bombs and that helps their bottom line.

The problem is hyperbole that claims she is "most qualified in our lifetime". Sure, she has some qualifications but she is not even most qualified one running this time around.
Who is the most qualified one running this time around?

That's Trump. He is, hands down, the most qualified candidate to ever run, not only in this election, but in history.

Just ask him.

Who is the most qualified one running this time around?
Of those still in the race most definitely Kasich. Experience both in state and federal governments and both as a legislator (including committee chairman) and executive.

And yes, that is a lot of people.

As for Donald Trump's qualifications he has no experience at public office and is the most open about his bigotry. It's a conservative dream-come true.

Of course, Cruz and Rubio are bigger bigots, they just don't advertise as loudly.

It seems really odd to me. As i recall, a few years back people were upset at President Clinton because they felt that Hillary had too much input on his administration. They weren't criticizing her input, they just whined that she wasn't elected or appointed but she was still helping run the country.
Now the same people complain that she doesn't have any experience running the country...

Well, the point is that they're against Hillary. The details of why are tertiary at best.

Lots of people say stupid things, and no one on this thread has claimed that Hillary is "most qualified in our lifetime", so you will need to first find someone that is even willing to debate your hobby horse. Sure Kasich is running, but it seems that he is running the 1 mile race, and this is a marathon. Romney has as much chance at the nomination as Kasich.

I'm surprised that you like a career politico...

Actually I think the proper metaphor is he is pacing himself as if he is running an ultra-marathon, but he is only running a marathon.

And yet he has no experience in the main jobs that fall to the president, foreign affairs and national security.

And yet with all of that experience he is proposing huge tax cuts for the rich, increased military, mental health and infrastructure spending, while at the same time wondering why we have such a large budget deficit. He wants to improve government efficiency by having the fifty states duplicate their efforts in a whole range of issues like health care, infrastructure, welfare, education, etc. presumably to propagate the successes of states like Kansas and Louisiana throughout the country.

His experience leads him to believe that Americans want cuts in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and want to reduce or eliminate progressive taxation so that the poor and the middle class pay more, that private enterprise can run the health care system better than doctors to return to the health care cost trajectory that existed before ObamaCare, that the financial markets need to be further deregulated because past deregulation was such a success at fostering innovations like tranced mortgage backed securities, CDS's and the private mortgage registering company MERS, that the current income tax system is too complicated because of all of the different rates because presumably Americans are confused by lookup tables, that we will all be safer the more guns that we all have and the more places that we can carrying them concealed, that education should be micromanaged by state not federal bureaucrats, that rigorous education standards should be developed by each of the fifty states separately and imposed on the local schools rather than have the federal government do it presumably because math, history, English and science vary so much from state to state, and so on.

(In this short time I couldn't find out where he stands on the burning question supported by the majority of his party on the the need to return to the gold standard so that we will finally have money that is worth something, the repeal of the minimum wage to satisfy the widespread clamor for lower wages, the support for the 40 hour work week, or in your area of concern, the oppression and the discrimination of the white race from equal opportunity and affirmative action laws. Nor where he stands on building the wall, the 3rd class misdemeanor of entering the US illegally, less serious than a parking ticket, and its gateway criminal status that leads invariably to rape, robbery and murder.)

What is the value of experience if it leads him to these conclusions so seriously out of touch with reality?
