First they came for the anti-fascists

The cherry on top, in case anyone is still reading and wants to know exactly why popular mobilization is a necessary component of anti-fascist resistance:

Exposed: State Department Official Posted in Nazi Charlottesville Chats

Today, an investigation by reporter Michael Hayden for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)’s Hatewatch revealed that US State Department official Matthew Q. Gebert has been active in the neo-nazi movement over the last several years. Leaked Discord chat logs obtained by Unicorn Riot also prove that Gebert’s username was posting in racist groups throughout 2017 and indicate he may have attended the deadly Unite The Right rally in Charlottesville.

Gebert currently works as a foreign affairs officer in the State Department’s Bureau of Energy Resources. His career at the State Department began in 2013 via a “presidential management fellowship” focused on “developing a cadre of potential government leaders” according to academic and government records.

Gebert has made repeated appearances on anti-semitic alt-right podcasts such as ‘The Fatherland’, according to reporting by SPLC. His podcast appearances as well as his leaked Discord chats also indicate he has hosted white nationalist gatherings at his home,

He was part of the Obama administration. And he's just the one who got caught. So, I must ask again, to all the fence-sitters and both-sidesers and de-escalationists: what is to be done, and by whom, and how, to stop what is by now a cancerous growth on society itself, reaching deep into the recesses of local law enforcement and into the halls of political power? Do you have any ideas?

Oh goody, you've found examples of violence on one extreme, and therefore that proves the other extreme is never violent.

No. It proves that the "other extreme", which only exists to resist and defend against the first, is violent for good reason. If you disagree, then please answer my question, which I have included at the end of both of my previous posts.

No it doesn't. Well, you consider "forcibly installing a totalitarian communist government and killing millions in the process" to be a good reason, so you consider their violence to be for a good reason. Sane people think that is bad.

Sane people don't believe antifa wants that, and cowards make a point of not quoting the entire comment when they can't answer a simple question

You mean I'm not supposed to snip irrelevant drivel? Since when?

NBC News contributor raises suspicions over Trump's order to fly US flags half-staff until Aug. 8

It's at Fox, sorry about that, but they were one of the few willing to cover this.

NBC News contributor Frank Figliuzzi said Monday that President Trump’s decision to fly American flags half-staff until Aug. 8-- in response to the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings-- could be seen by white supremacists as a nod to Adolf Hitler.

Figliuzzi, a former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence, made the claim during an MSNBC broadcast with Brian Williams. Trump issued the order on Sunday “as a mark of solemn respect” for the victims of the shootings.

“The president’s either getting really good advice and rejecting it, or he’s getting really bad advice," he said. "We have to understand the adversary and the threat we’re dealing with, and if we don’t understand how they think we’ll never understand how to counter them, so it’s the little things and the language and messaging that matters.

“The president says that we will fly our flags at half-mast until August 8, that’s 8/8. Now I’m not going to imply that he did this deliberately, but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that’s being demonstrated by the White House,” Figliuzzi continued. “The numbers 8/8 are very significant in the neo-Nazi and the white supremacy movement. Why? Because the letter ‘H’ is the eighth letter of the alphabet, and to them, the numbers 8/8 stand for ‘Heil Hitler."

“So we’re going to be raising the flag back up at dusk on 8/8. No one’s thinking about this. No one’s giving the advice, or he’s rejecting the advice,” he added.

It's easy to find racism everywhere, if you're crazy.

Wow. This is some barrel-scraping, even for you. How badly do you need for there not to be a real problem with racism, fascism, and right-wing authoritarianism permeating literally every aspect of our culture, just so you can avoid going on record that you don't think anything should be done about it?

I agree there's a real problem with fascism. I see fascists dressed all in black throwing milkshakes at people and brutally assaulting center-right gay Asian reporters.

I see a problem with fascism, transphobic, and other bigotry where I live in fear that someone will murder my husband or our new boyfriend or even myself for merely existing as we are, as has happened repeatedly all over the country.

Seeing as how pro-trump fascists have committed regular terrorist attacks with bullets rather than dairy drinks, I really think you are just plain full of shit. Cry more. Maybe if I ever have the displeasure of meeting you, I'll buy you a milkshake all of your very own.

88 is one of their dog whistles. Why did he pick that date? Even if it's innocent it's horrible optics, at that level such a blunder simply shouldn't happen--there are too many people involved, someone would have pointed it out.

The start date was already 8/*. How many days half-mast is normal? Is the number of days he chose out of ordinary? I seriously doubt it.

More isolated incidents from the tiny handful of right wing extremists that are definitely not an epidemic in America

Ohio man charged with threatening to shoot Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, illegally stockpiling ammunition

“My employer would load the gun for me,” Ireland posted, according to court records.

During the raid, feds found several rounds of illegal ammunition in Ireland’s home, prosecutors said.

An FBI background check also revealed the 41-year-old had two outstanding warrants on marijuana possession in Georgia and skipping a court hearing in Florida related to a past criminal case, according to prosecutors.

They didn't say his political affiliation, I wonder what it was.. probably Antifa

FBI arrests Las Vegas man who allegedly wanted to shoot Jews, LGBTQ bar patrons

He allegedly told agents, according to FBI officials, that over the past two years he thought of several ideas to carry out an attack on Jews.

FBI officials said they received information that Climo was communicating with individuals who identified with the white supremacist extremist group Atomwaffen Division. Prosecutors said in their statement that he also communicated with people who "identified with" the National Socialist Movement, a neo-Nazi group.

It's a good thing we should only worry about officially counted members of such groups and not the people who "identify with" or are enabled by them. The good news is both of these people are no longer in the football stadium so everything is therefore fine
