Flock cameras.

Florida Flock camera arrest leads to U.S. Senate investigation

These seem to be more of a case of bad/incompetent cops rather than a Flock camera problem, per se. Law enforcement have been misidentifying and incarcerating people since ancient times and misusing police tools for their own personal uses. Regarding Flocks misreading license plates or car colors/makes, are they really any worse than the average citizen describing a car speeding away? Knowing how flawed human perceptions and memories are, I think I would trust a camera more than a person. What they should be doing is cracking down on LE who are abusing or incompetently using the Flock surveillance systems. Increase training and fines and incorporate technological improvements where available and practical will a go a long way toward perfecting the system.

I myself have been the victim of a misread license plate that ended up costing me hundreds of dollars. Extremely annoying, but IMO the fault lies with the human element, not with the camera itself. You can read my rant about it here. Despite all that, I still support cameras for such purposes.
