Forgery suspect killed by cop restricting his airway

Ugh. This chief of police in Atlanta is more than useless! She came out into the crowd, telling them she understands them while they are burning police cars and buildings.
Why not arrest those fuckers? Why try to appease them?

Because she understands that the rule of law is an agreement between people to let cops have the only legitimate use of force in exchange for not burning down the city. When that breaks down, the cops will just be the bad guys and people will use scopes because you can't call cops on cops.

If you piss off thousands of people, you will pay the price eventually. That's why it matters to hear them and to make changes so they won't kill you.

Having innocent victims is collateral damage according to the right wing when it's white people revolting. The moment it's got some black people, suddenly the right wing hypocrites contradict themselves and get the shit scared out of them.
Who was advocating any of that? You are projecting.

If right wing nutjobs no longer support violent revolution, then they need to give their guns up and shut the fuck up.
You are a left wing (edit) who is advocating left wing violence.

"Protester" mowed down a police officer in Atlanta

Atlanta police officer hit by ATV, sustains ‘significant injures’ during second night of protests

WSB-TV said:
An Atlanta Police officer was seriously injured after being hit by an ATV in downtown Atlanta during a second night of protests. The APD Motors Officer was hit on Ted Turner Drive around 10 p.m. and sustained significant injuries, police said. The officer was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital alert and conscious and is stable. Police said the ATV’s driver suffered minor injuries and was taken into custody.

If this was deliberate (as is likely), he needs to be charged with attempted murder.

Well it has kicked off in LA. Curfew in place 8:00pm to 5:30am while the police sort out the scum looting and destroying property.

It's a very bad idea to let yourself be blackmailed by extremists. In this circumstance a much bigger show of force would have been a better strategy than giving those who wish to destroy space to do that.

That's what happened in Ferguson and the chaos, while substantial, was largely confined to the West Florissant area. In Atlanta, due to inaction by the leadership, the rioters were wilding all over the city.

1. LOOK OUT FOR THINGS THAT DON’T SEEM RIGHT. There are increasing reports and investigations that white supremacists may be infiltrating these protests, breaking windows and destroying property. The majority of people arrested in Minneapolis were outside agitators. If anything seems off to you, DOCUMENT IT. Always check who is organizing.
Them being agitators out of state, even if it is true for most of them, is not indicative of them being white supremacists.
AOC herself traveled 1,700 miles one way to North Dakota to agitate against that pipeline.

2. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF GRASSROOTS BLACK ORGANIZERS. They have been at this a long time and are disciplined in the ropes of community organizing and demonstration. It IS a discipline. Follow trusted leaders whose goal has been the focused pursuit of justice. If they just showed up, that’s a red flag.
Why should the race of the organizers matter?

Useful when committing arson.

Brooklyn protests: 3 people, including Catskills woman, face federal charges in Molotov police attacks: source

Crazy!

We should just form separate ethnostates.
I disagree, but left wing pushing identity politics (culminating in this chaos) is leading in that direction, sadly.
How did left wing identity politics prompt the Minneapolis police force over the past 40 years to earn the massive distrust of minority communities and cause 4 police officers to forget their humanity?

Left-wing disinformation that claims that police brutality is a problem many orders of magnitude worse than it actually is.

The fact is, most people are killed by civilians, not police. And by far most police killings are justified. That's why police officers are rarely prosecuted, not because of some racist conspiracy.

yeah but I'm on the fence about killing cops for sport. On the one hand, if they won't prosecute cops, then it's clearly justified. On the other hand... hmm.

The fact is that civilians get prosecuted and cops don't. That needs to change before the burning ought to stop.

Sure it is. 'Because fuck you' is a valid justification and informs indiscriminate action.

Would you think rioting, arson and looting was justified if it was done by Trump supporters over some slight or say pro-lifers over abortion?

Are you seriously claiming that "left wing" disinformation has been going on for over 40 years, and that caused the Minneapolis police department to earn the distrust of minority communities, and that same disinformation caused these 4 police officers to forget their humanity? Because that is simply crazy talk. And if not, then your reply is non-responsive.
The fact is, most people are killed by civilians, not police.
Totally irrelevant.
And by far most police killings are justified. That's why police officers are rarely prosecuted, not because of some racist conspiracy.
The conclusion in your 2nd sentence does not follow from the first. And, of course, neither sentence is relevant.

What you don't get is that the police are mistrusted because of their behavior over the past 40 years. It is not just shootings. It is the day to day business of stopping people for no reason. Hell, in Minneapolis, they arrested people for "loitering" (mainly blacks and native americans) even though blacks are a small proportion of the population. Where I live, if a black person was arrested for a crime, their picture was on the front page. Very few photos of white people arrested for a crime.

The fact is that civilians get prosecuted and cops don't. That needs to change before the burning ought to stop.
Civilians also do not (or at least should not) get prosecuted if they were justified in the use of lethal force, in the defense of themselves or others.
It's just that police officers, by nature of their work, are much more frequently in position to use lethal force legally and justifiably because their job is to confront and engage criminal suspects.

Why is that distinction between law enforcement officer and civilian so difficult for leftists to grasp?

It's not. But it's also stupid as shit.
