In the USA any politician or public figure who is seriously critical of Jews and Israel would face a media and cultural backlash. Past administrations have criticized Israeli colonization of the West Bank, but it has been weak and mute.
There are plenty of countries that are 100% on the Palestinian side. Others are mostly on Palestinian side.
Why is it deemed wrong by some that a country like the US is even partially pro-Israel?
Going back to the founding of Israel Jews seized Arab land.
Why do you call it "Arab Land"? Israel is not part of Arabia. Is Arab settlement and colonization good, but Jewish settlement bad?
We know plenty of Arabs who are now called "Palestinians" came to the area not long before Israeli independence. That's why UNRWA has a two year residency (1946-1948) to determine whose descendants are considered "Palestinian refugees" for all eternity.
When they defeated the Arab coalition in the first war Arabs were denied right of return to their land.
That was not their land. They should have settled and been integrated into the societies of surrounding Arab countries, just like Israel integrated Jews who were driven from areas Arabs ended up controlling were. There was no need for Arabs to keep their brethren in "refugees camps", much less to do it for decades.
For many decades Israel has condemned Palestinian land in the West Bank,
In 1948 so-called "West Bank" (really Judea and Samaria) was controlled by Jordan. Arabs waged another war against Israel in 1967, where they lost that territory. They waged another in 1973, where they failed to capture it back.
There was never a "Palestinian" sovereignty over any part of this piece of land until the Oslo Accords.
Palestinians in the West Bank have been systematically herded into smaller isolated areas, essentially ghettos.
That is unfortunate for them, but trying - and failing - to push your neighbor into the sea has consequences.
Reporting from Gaza backed by interviews with Israeli soldiers says Israeli troops are using Palestinians as human shields.
That's not right, but this Polandball cartoon is hilarious:
We are still fighting Islamic extremists who want to establish a new Muslim caliphate, Israel gets a pass from us.
As well we should. I think political Islam is the major long term threat to Western civilization, both from outside and increasingly also from the inside due to misguided immigration policies.
And whine we debate here in comfort kids are starving and being bombed in Gaza.
It's funny that the claim is that Gazans are starving, and yet people in the video footage always look well-fed.
Example:
The guy at 1:16 for example. Does he look like he missed too many meals recently?
From reporting over here Trump is realizing neither Putin nor Netanyahu gives a shit what an American president says. Trump is way out of his league with Putin and Netnyahu8 who are exert manipulators.
Do not put these two in the same sentence!
Putin is a ruthless dictator who started a war of aggression against a neighboring country .
Netanyahu is a democratic prime minister whose limited room to maneuver is precisely because he must wrangle a coalition with very different views and a slim democratic majority. And he did not attack Gaza, but is responding to Gaza having invaded Israel, murdering ~1200 and kidnapping ~250.
