Trying to auction off his money is tacky, although it's his gun and he can do whatever he wants with it.
But he is absolutely right on #BLM. That's a racist (just look at their hostility at suggestion that all lives matter) group that glorifies violent thugs as long as they are black - Michel Brown, Jamar Clark, Mario Woods, Pierre Loury etc.

His auction page said the Smithsonian expressed interest in the gun. They denied it. Another Zimmerman lie.

Setting aside your selection of 'thugs' you need to justify how a minority group adversely impacted by laws written by whites can suppress, that is be racist.

I dunno.
If i had that sort of disposable income, i probably would have bid on the gun.
Ideally, getting it for a price that leaves me other options. Say, if i had 45 grand to play with, and bought the gun for $15000, i could donate the gun and the remaining $30000 to BLM. Maybe someone could fashion it into an art display.
Three angry demons in Hell, raping Zimmerman with the barrel of the gun, just off the top of my head. But then, my main art form has never been visual, so i'd leave it to clearer and more artistic heads to come up with something artsy.

(CNN)George Zimmerman was set to auction the gun he used to kill Trayvon Martin four years ago, he told a Florida TV station.
But mysteriously, when the auction was slated to begin, the weapon vanished from the website, replaced by a note that read, "Sorry, but the item you have requested is no longer in the system."
Searches for Zimmerman and Trayvon, which earlier Thursday morning had yielded information about the gun and its sale, returned no results.
CNN attempts to reach the auction site were not immediately successful. Reached via phone, Zimmerman told CNN, "Sorry guys. I just wanted to troll Derec," and hung up.

It added, "We want no part in the listing on our web site or in any of the publicity it is receiving."
The listing, which got more than 185,000 views, was replaced at mid-morning Thursday by a message that said, without elaboration, "Sorry, but the item you have requested is no longer in the system."
Zimmerman told the Orlando Sentinel that GunBroker.com was not "prepared for the traffic and publicity surrounding the auction of my firearm. It has now been placed with another auction house."
The new listing for the Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm firearm was posted on unitedgungroup.com.

Personally, even if I wanted this gun for some reason, I wouldn't buy it. Zimmerman may have murdered 5 other people with it since he got it from the DoJ.

Last one I saw was a $65 million bid from Donald Trump, which...also sounds legit.
Anyway, I'm not advocating fake bids or anything, but I really don't know what he thought would happen with his little lynching memento auction.
