Brutal. But did you need to toss Jimmy's truthie into a wood chipper? ;)
I must have mistaken it with New Hampshire. Seriously, you two are seriously trolling. There are very few Clinton loyalists on this board.

And based on the polls, this one looks an outlier. Sanders is closing the gap. These polls will help Sanders and maybe he can make headway into the South. I just hope he doesn't have a cold and get crucified by the Media not unlike the last progressive out of Vermont.

buddy: don't get too cocky! Max and Dismal both know that in a general election, the republican nominiee will destroy Bernie. The US is center right. This is why the republicans try so hard to destroy Hillary. She is the ony moderate on the democratic side right now with a chance.

First off, Hillary is about as moderate as Obama. They are right-leaning moderates.

The nation isn't center-right. It seems to vote that way. But if Sanders could get his message out, 60% of the nation would think he was making a ton of sense. He probably won't win the nomination, and he is a bit old, but he has the power to get the Democrat party a bit back to the left.

This is a politics board Jimmy, not a temple for Hillary worship.

A leading presidential candidate blowing a 40+ point lead in the polls seems like it's a fair topic, And also a nice rebuttal for the "remain calm all is well no one cares" crowd.

In other news, the DOJ is hot on Hillary's trail...soon they'll nail her for her nefarious...

Wait, what?

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/sep/10/justice-department-rules-hillary-clinton-followed-/

In the most complete legal defense of Mrs. Clinton, Justice Department lawyers insisted they not only have no obligation, but no power, to go back and demand the former top diplomat turn over any documents she hasn’t already given — and neither, they said, can the court order that.

The defense came as part of a legal filing telling a judge why the administration shouldn’t be required to order Mrs. Clinton and her top aides to preserve all of their emails.

“There is no question that Secretary Clinton had authority to delete personal emails without agency supervision — she appropriately could have done so even if she were working on a government server,” the administration lawyers argued. “Under policies issued by both the National Archives and Records Administration (‘NARA’) and the State Department, individual officers and employees are permitted and expected to exercise judgment to determine what constitutes a federal record.”

Of course it is worth noting that the source for this is the notoriously left-wing and Hillary-worshipping Washington Times, so take it with a grain of salt.

I think it's obvious that the redacted portions of the emails contained information about the owner of the Washington Times being found in a cheap motel room with a dead, underaged ladyboy prostitute in his bed. Hillary has crushed yet another opponent under her iron fist in order to preserve her secrets.

At this point, our only hope is to wait a year and a half until President Trump can unseal these records and expose this and the rest of Hillary's nefarious conspiracies to the light of truth and justice.

Drip...drip...drip...

Classified emails passed through commercial email services like Google and AOL on their path to or from a private server maintained by Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state, but so far, the government appears to have done little to retrieve or secure the messages.

A POLITICO review of Clinton emails made public by the State Department shows that at least 55 messages now deemed to include classified information appear to have been sent to or from private accounts other than Clinton’s. That number is certain to grow substantially as State processes all Clinton emails and sorts through emails turned over to the department by several of her top aides.

Only about a quarter of the former secretary’s messages have been released up to this point, and her advisers sent emails on the same topics that never reached Clinton. The nonchalant response to messages stored on commercial servers contrasts sharply with recent FBI efforts to take possession of email copies on a thumb drive maintained by Clinton’s attorney David Kendall and on a server kept by a Denver tech company that managed Clinton’s account.

“They are discordant, and they reflect inconsistent notions of information security,” said Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists. “They are totally incompatible positions.”...

The most evident example of the discrepancy in the government’s response is the private email account used by former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills. In a July 31 letter to lawyers for Mills and other former officials, State Department Undersecretary for Management Patrick Kennedy — who had previously allowed ex-officials to keep copies of any records they were returning to the department — struck a newly urgent tone.

“For records management purposes, the Department asks that you and your client now take steps to return all copies of potential federal records in your possession to the Department as soon as possible,” Kennedy wrote. “The Department’s Office of Information … will contact you regarding additional steps with respect to the disposition of your and/or your client’s electronic copies of these documents.”

Mills’ lawyer Beth Wilkinson replied that Mills planned to delete her electronic copies of work-related emails on her personal account after she finished providing copies of those emails to the State Department.

However, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan stepped in, asking Mills, fellow Clinton aide Huma Abedin and Clinton not to delete any records in their possession. All three agreed.

The status of Abedin’s emails is less clear because most of her work-related emails sent on a private account appear to have involved an account she had on Clinton’s server. Attorneys for Mills and Abedin declined to comment for this story.

Asked about efforts to recover classified information from commercial email services, the FBI declined to comment. A State Department official was vague about precise actions.

Anyone remember back in the day when something as drole as trying to break into the DNC in order to steal documents and how agencies were used to spy on and harass and influence potential political candidates/opponents and activists was considered a major scandal. Man, only if they knew. Drip... drip.. drip...

It's too bad that email wasn't around during WWII. If the Nuremburg trials had been able to indicate that Hitler had improperly secured his email server, the judgement of history would have been that the Nazis were evil.

To the contrary, other than a slightly hyperbolic headline, it is an accurate characterization. The DOJ represents the State Department in this lawsuit and it is clearly enthusiastic (and shameless) in its help to the State department cover up her misdeeds - the State position is "we don't care if secret information was distributed or taken by others". However, given Judge Sullivan's (Clinton Appointee) previous rulings on document production, I would be very surprised if he agreed (to be decided this week, I believe).

Naturally, this is red flag. As I said, the actual criminal prosecution of Hillary Clinton would require integrity from Loretta Lynch, over the obstructionism of the State department. This story suggests that the recent golf outings of Bubba and Bama has borne fruit.

In any event, as long as there are honest federal judges who are not mindless political shills, the email investigation will continue. With 16 suits for information in process, the freedom of information act has a thriving business.

One of the fruits of the Watergate era.

In other news, the DOJ is hot on Hillary's trail...soon they'll nail her for her nefarious...

Wait, what?

man, the best part of all this continues to be that i recall very distinctly maxparrish fervently and passionately defending the bush admin and decrying anyone who brought up them doing basically this exact same thing as a lunatic just trying to get any shit they could to stick.
shame that was on the old forums and the archives don't go back that far, that would be some quote mining gold.

Don't worry, I remember every statement I made eight to ten years ago....(recollection in progress)...DONE! Nope, no gold there.

Well, I think we can be confident you checked them all, only deleting the ones about Yoga routines.

Another story twist yesterday...adding to the drip...drip...drip:

...Judicial Watch released a report this morning on documents produced by the State Department relating to the department’s collection of Hillary Clinton’s emails for production in response to subpoenas and other legal requirements. ... the Obama administration defied the Freedom of Information Act and produced these documents only in response to a court order.

...State Department employees identified significant gaps in Mrs. Clinton’s emails...

The first batch of documents obtained by Judicial Watch contains a heavily redacted email from State Department official Eric F. Stein to Margaret P. Grafeld, dated April 21, 2015, with the subject “HRC Emails.” Stein is deputy director of global information systems at the State Department and Grafeld is deputy assistant secretary of global information systems. Stein reports to Grafeld that the “gaps” in Clinton’s emails include:

Jan. 21 – March 17, 2009 (Received Messages)
Jan. 21 – April 12, 2009 (Sent Messages)
Dec. 30, 2012 – Feb. 1, 2013 (Sent Messages)

These are emails pulled from Hillary’s home server. It appears that there are no emails from the first two months of Hillary’s tenure as Secretary of State, and no sent messages for the first three months. I haven’t gone back to check what is in the public record about when Hillary set up her home server, but presumably she didn’t go for months without sending or receiving emails. The other gap is at the tail end of her tenure: no sent messages for her last month as secretary.

Given that emails have turned up that she sent or received, but did not turn over to the State department, it's highly curious that these long gaps exist. Even the state department saw it as a red flag.

So what's the big plan if the Hillz falls, you two going to accept Bernie Sanders or Smokin' Joe Biden as you president? Because none of the current candidates can win the general election.
