Houston has a problem

Could have presented the legislation without what their conservative legislature considers foul language. But no. Had to rub their noses in it, didn't ya, ya damn dirty democrat? Well, I hope the Texas legislature sees this as a learning opportunity.
You know, Houston sits at 235 of 302 on the housing affordability index of large cities. The higher the number, the more affordable. Y'all sure you wouldn't like to make a little investment in your future? I'd at least go with a Queenslander style house if you're rebuilding.

Queenslander

Stupid is as stupid does. And there's lots of stupid in conservative politics.

They should be happy Yahweh didn't make it rain like in their bibles. Praise Jesus!

Then again, when you're up to your ass in gators ...

They refused to enact any legislation that contained anything referring to climate change or rising sea levels or anything remotely associated. Had that wording been changed to reference instead biblical end times maybe the necessary legislation might have had a chance. But I don't think it would have made a difference. Houston and Texas generally are libertarian utopias who hate big government except for when they don't hate big government.

Houston will be flooding regularly. Keep the boats ready.
