There was no troops there. They hit a market and they hit it with FPV drones.
Before that they were hunting ambulances for a while in order to disrupt response to this terrorist attack.

Was Russia's refusal to show some desire to end the war in Ukraine (and make Trump look good) a foolish move by Russia? Time will tell but I think it might have been. But military transports to Poland bound for Ukraine have increased in recent days. Consider, Russia's position was, give us the rest of what we haven't been able to take on our own in Ukraine. Meanwhile all other participants in the negotiations were willing to sit down and talk compromise. So, I think we can at least expect Trump to support the status quo of arms, intel, and comms unless he wants the public to see his minerals agreement wither and die. But don't count out something more Trump can put his signature on, a military something. If so, hopefully there will be someone to keep him from doing anything too rash, maybe SecDef or... well, someone.

Poland Prepares
-Men and women, young and old line up for "Train with the Army". The program is oversubscribed and is being expanded.
-Poland will spend nearly 5% of GDP on defense. They've been on a spending spree buying from the US, Sweden, and South Korea.
-Prime Minister Donald Tusk is committed to making Poland's army the strongest in the region.
-Poland is due to sign defense agreements with France and the UK. There are also talks of France bringing all of Europe under it's nuclear umbrella. This was proposed by Macron.

And I suppose this is all in preparation for when Russia is forced to defend itself by attacking yet another country.
