How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Ukraine Defense Forces reports 45% of Russia's refining capacity has been knocked off line. Their General Staff reports this as a summary for the week of Sep 14-20. Mkay. I take this with a grain of salt. I mean, for how long? Are they including temporary shutdowns in this?

What we do know that supports Ukraine's numbers are:
-Russia has suspended until mid next year the export of fuel.
-Russia is importing fuel from Belarus.
-Russia has reverted to using lower quality fuels. These fuels are particularly damaging to vehicles manufactured after 2016.
These are not temporary measures.

If you were reading inependent journalists you would know how these nazis came up with that number.
This number is percentage of refineries which registered a "successful" hit over the whole duration of their stupid drone campaign. Successful hit could be anything for these nazis. But the fact is, at the worst case only 10% of refineries were not working, not knocked out - just not working.

I do not think Euope or UK need to respond to the Ukranian crisis. It is between USA and Russia in which Ukraine got involved.
EU and UK are US vassals. US controls them completely. Biden blew up Nordstream and EU said OK, we will buy your gas at 10x prices

No offense. But this is just silly. Much to Trump's great sadness, Russia just isn't interested in working with the US. If Europe stopped helping Ukraine, Russia would take over far more territory from Ukraine. They might take it all. This would create a much greater security threat to Europe. Russia has said over and over that it will go after the Baltics next, then Poland, then Finland, and etc. Just look at a map. All these countries by themselves are tiny compared to Russia. But combined together, they have a chance. If Ukraine falls, a great refugee crisis would hit Europe. Secondly, it's also simple economics. Europe sends about $800 Billion of aid to Ukraine a year. It's been estimated that to defend against a full blow Russian invasion would cost an additional 1.8 Trillion per year.

Dude, MiniHitler launched a thousand drones and and it resulted in 3-4 hits.
Do you realize what it means? success rate is 0.5%
Actually it is 0.1% because they hit only one target, the rest is just debris on random apartments.
First, even if it was a thousand drones it probably costs no more than one of those missiles you keep lobbing at civilians in Ukraine.

Second, one target does not mean only one hit. They probably put many on the refinery. The apartment block was probably debris from an intercept. Your air defense doesn't do a good job of thinking about where the debris will fall.

Second, one target does not mean only one hit.
Usually it is less than one hit, way less than one hit.
They probably put many on the refinery.
They have to, when probability of drone not being shot down is 0.1%
Your air defense doesn't do a good job of thinking about where the debris will fall.
Out of 1000 drones shot down a couple of cases with damage on the ground. I call it remarkable job.
Unlike your stupid patriot which pretty much guaranteed to hit something on the ground.
Because your stupid nazi put your stupid Patriot system inside cities.
Of course they have to, because that's how it works.

What it means is all targets are not created equal. A low percentage means fuck all as long as they hit the intended target. As long as they hit the intended, it’s a 100% success.

In other LOL news. Elensky regime had a spat with a new presumably pro-kiev PM.
Péter Magyar refused to join Elensky C8 group. And cancelled building oil storage facility for Kiev in Hungary.
In both cases MiniHitler signend Hungary up without asking .... Péter Magya government.
What a clown.

Great, they spent 1000 drones on one target, and only one drone actually reached it.
Russia hits 1000 targets with 1000 drones with all of them reaching the target

Russia does not need Ukraine if it has some design on Europe (I do not think it has any other than not wanting them to join NATO). Many countries are on Russia's border. Yeah, sure, if it feels that these countries in association with NATO are a danger for it. But yeah, it is a free world, Russia would do its thing, and US and Europe will do their thing. I am not a prophet and do not know the outcome if such a conflict takes place. I will worry about my own country.

Aup is yet another shallow Internet America basher.

Why a new Pakistan-China border pact has irked India

For decades, India has refused to recognise a Pakistan-China boundary in a disputed part of the Himalayas that Delhi claims as its own.

But last week, Pakistan and China formalized a boundary in a remote part of the mountainous region, drawing a sharp response from Delhi. The two countries signed the Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission, an agreement which Pakistan described as a "significant milestone" that would deepen cooperation on border management, trade and connectivity between India's regional rivals.
Delhi rejected the move as having no legal basis, saying it did not recognise any Pakistan-China boundary located in territory it claims as Indian.

Chinaversus India

1962 War: A brief military conflict resulting in Chinese control of Aksai Chin and the creation of the de facto Line of Actual Control (LAC).

2020 Galwan Valley Clashes: A deadly hand-to-hand skirmish in eastern Ladakh that killed at least 20 Indian soldiers and multiple Chinese troops, causing a severe diplomatic freeze.

Current StatusIncomplete Resolution: Recent bilateral talks and disengagement deals have reduced immediate frontline friction, but neither nation has rescinded its core territorial claims.

There is an ongoing territorial dispute between China and India over the sovereignty of two relatively large, and several smaller, separated pieces of territory at their border. The territorial disputes between the two countries stem from the legacy of British colonial-era border agreements, particularly the McMahon Line in the eastern sector, which was drawn in 1914 during the Simla Convention between British-ruled India and Tibet but was rejected by China. In the western sector, the dispute involves Aksai Chin, a region historically linked to the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir but effectively controlled by China after the 1962 war. The lack of mutually recognized boundary agreements has led to ongoing tensions and occasional military clashes.

2020–2022 skirmishes
Main articles: 2020–2022 China–India skirmishes and Timeline of the 2020–2022 China–India skirmishes

In June 2020, Indian and Chinese troops engaged in a brawl in the Galwan River valley, which reportedly led to the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers. Indian media claimed 40+ Chinese soldiers had been killed, but this number was not confirmed by Chinese authorities.[73] China has since enhanced its position in the border area through salami-slicing tactics.[74]

AI Overview
India and Russia do not have a mutual defense or military alliance treaty that obligates either country to come to the other's aid in a war, but they do have major logistics, technical, and long-term defense cooperation agreements.

Good luck relying on Russia for militray assistance of any kind.

Strategic Autonomy
India follows a policy of strategic autonomy and non-alignment.It avoids formal mutual defense pacts (like NATO) that legally require joining a war if another nation is attacked. This approach lets India make independent foreign policy choices.

You start shooting weapons, you have to figure some won't hit the target. Any weapon, any target. If the target is defended you estimate what the defenders can shoot down and throw enough extras to saturate the defenses. "Weapons" even exist that don't actually do anything--no seeker, no boom, just an airframe and propulsion. They're a lot lighter which means a plane can carry more of them and the defenders can't tell if they're real or not and have to allocate a SAM to them.

We keep seeing the Russian propaganda trying to describe reality far different than what their own images show is happening. If there's any reasonable chance something might be propaganda do not pay much of any attention to the label. And look at it from a viewpoint that's hostile to the interests of whoever is presenting it. This is by no means perfect at rooting out the fakes but it catches a lot because it's a lot harder to make fakes that stand up to scrutiny and an imperfect job still fools those who want to be fooled.

I know. Even jingoistic Russian milbloggers try and tell this guy what's actually going on, yet still, he refuses the truth.
