How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Kicking Fedorov out was a result of military being unhappy with the strikes deep inside Russia.
They said that they are wasting resources which were better spent on the front line.
Ukrainian military are losing territory.
Now with the stupid ukro-decision to hit a ship with russian grain, Russia is finally blocking Odessa.
Which puts Ukrainian Army and drone offensive itself in jeopardy.
Ukraine is a land locked country now. Can't export grain and can't receive weapons by sea.
Eventually Odessa will be taken by Russia and "Ukraine" became a land locked officially.

Australia found a weird time to launch investigation against Telegram.
That is after Russian authorities issued search warrant for Durov.
Now Australia is accusing Telegram in the same thing Russiad did - not removing terrorist channels/content
Looks like Australia siding with Russia on this one.

I don't really understand Durov, removing obviously terrorist content is no brainer and should not be controversial at all. Just start removing it.
Of course in case of Russia especially it could be a slippery slope. But some shit is obvious.

About WB in Russia in english language.
it is true that you can't walk 100 meters without stumbling into WB/OZON
there is one in the apartment building next to mine, 100 meters walk.
OZON literally shares a door with WB there.
WB/Ozone is huge in Russia.

"Operation Sidoor" was expected to be a one-day war. The first night attack lasted 23 minutes on nine terrorist locations (Indian Sources) and the first day operation, 52 minutes (Pakistan Sources). It was a war beyond visual range. But response from Pakistan extended it for two more days. Night of May 8 was for mutual drone strikes. Night of May 9, India attacked Pakistan radar installations rendering response impossible and attacked some 13 air-bases. Pakistan capitulated on May 10, 2025. General Asim Munir was rewarded by being made Field Marshal, the only time in the world when a Failed Marshal was made a Field Marshal, and practically the ruler of Pakistan. (Aha, Indian bias shows)

The Soviet paradigm was make everybody equal, equally miserable.

We Russians can't let Ukrainians be enjoying freedoms and having good times, we need to drag them down with us.
actually, most soviet people were less miserable than most americans now.
:hysterical: :slowclap:

A question to ponder.
If US citizens could go to Russia with no strings nor questions asked and vice-versa for Russians, in which direction would the planes be most full?
Most people would stay in their countries in both countries most of the time.
and it is really stupid question. You constantly create shit for Russia and then come and say "See Russia is a bad country!"
When in reality it is you who is a bad country because you are actively shit everywhere, that's is how you keep appearance of less shit inside your own country.

It does not work anymore. You can't shit in Russia and you especially can't shit in China.
Between March and August of 2022, more than half a million men left Russia in a hurry. Since then, that many have left this world.
Have you counted ukrainians who left Ukraine?
Ukraine is 20mil people country now. It was 51 million in 1991
Ukraine has 32 million people. No need to exagerate.
Technically maybe, by 10millions out of 32 are not in Ukraine.

More propaganda.

Remember, folks. If it comes out of Russia, it's government approved and therefore useless.

Giddiness when a war is going on for four years with hundreds of thousands of causalities and Russia hit by missiles and drones is likely a sign of losing touch with reality.
That particular giddiness was a sign that all of this going to end soon.
Having said that, Putin is often awkward. So Putin's giddiness is a sign that things are looking good.
Uh huh...

What exactly is propaganda there?
The guy basically explains what WB is. How is that a propaganda?

Today I had an encounter which reminded me that 10% of people occupy lover 10% of IQ spectrum.
And now another one. Coincidence?

Russia is a normal country, we have our "Amazon". What is so unbelievable about that?
I mean, are you calling ukrainians liars? I mean they set on fire non-existent warehouse?
You are not making any sense.

DW, BBC, France24, and NHK from Japan are on local PBS stations every weeknight.

On the grud coverage in Gaza and Ukraine.

If you think mainstream media is completely untrustworthy than certain forces have succeeded. You do not know what to believe. Then people like Trump advances his own narrative as truth.
Mainstream is not trustworthy. It's just the alternatives are worse.

You talk of on the ground in Gaza: all such reporting is actually Hamas, no matter what the label says. All news organizations have some major biases built in:

1) They will be slanted in the direction the viewers on average like.

2) Reporting will be biased towards the side of controversy. When there is no controversy people don't pay attention. "It's nothing" doesn't get eyeballs.

3) Reporting will be very heavily biased towards having something to report. This shows up in areas where there's substantial censorship--you want your reporters to be able to operate, you report what the censors want you to report.

These factors apply to all news sources.

Then places like Faux deliberately do worse.
I was listening to someone in my building complain about doctors. I said doctors are people too.

He said 'and that;s the problem'.

Same with news media. People are people roadless of occupation.

That is why multiple platforms are important.

I looked at 19th century print media unline going back to the founding. Political operatives wrote fake op eds to smear opponents. I saw a caricature of Lincoln as a chimp. Jefferson was mocked as a Francophile who would sell us out to France.

I watched a show on media and Jack The Ripper. You might6 say the media invented Jack The Ripper as we percieve it today.

AI Overview
The English media in 1888 played a defining role in transforming the Whitechapel murders into the legend of Jack the Ripper. Through sensationalized reporting, competitive circulation wars, and invented correspondence, the Victorian press effectively co-created the identity of Britain's most notorious unidentified killer.

Media fear of the Ripper was used to justify an urban renewal of the day, demolishing slums.

If you entirely mistrust and dismiss global news media then then those fostering chaos win.

Way back when Trump first started saying 'fake news' in response to media criticism other leaders around the world began to use the term.

In western liberal democratic terms Russia is not normal.

No free speech and press.
Putin can suppress opposition political candidates.
Arbitrary detention and prosecution.

And so on.

Russians do not enjoy the freedoms western systems take as normal.

No free speech and press.
Putin can suppress opposition political candidates.
Arbitrary detention and prosecution.
Therefore that british dude is a liar?
Putin does suppress political candidates which have links to the west and I approve that.
You don'd have free speech and press. All pres is owned by people in the system.
System does tolerate some free speech, but only until certain limit which does not threaten the system.
There is no Arbitrary detention and prosecution in Russia, what you said is just false.

What exatly is so controversial in his video?
By the way, he was critical of the russian government with respect to internet regulation.

And Ukraine still manages to kick Russia's ass.
No they didn't, not even with the help of Collective West.
I guess Russia measures ass kicking on a different scale. I'll go back to the allegory of the bar fight where you started a fight with a person and thought it would be over in a few seconds. However, in a few minutes you were flat on the floor. You know you can get back up, eventually, but you also know there's nothing you can do to prevent him from knocking you down again.

Now, pay attention, this is important. Even if most of your injuries are to your face, you have still gotten your ass kicked.

It doesn't really matter how many friends he has in the bar, or if you ended up fighting them all before you went down. Your ass is still truly kicked and lying on the bar room floor, declaring it never happened just makes you look stupid.

In your case, it's your brother on the floor and you're standing on the other end of the bar well away from the fight, telling everyone he didn't get his ass kicked.

No, you pay attention. Country which is kicking ass does not fire Prime Minister, Minister of defense, and (!!!) Supreme Commander in rapid succession.
No. You guys just push them out of windows of tall buildings.

Why is this here?
We were talking about the inefficiency of the Russian army against Ukraine vis-a-vis an efficient Indian campaign against Pakistan. Actually, the Noor Khan Air Base, where they had their controlling Radar Base, was knocked out around 2 am on 10th of May. Munir woke up Shahbaz Sharif at 2.30 am and said that further fighting is not possible and that a cease-fire should be requested. The cease-fire was signed in the afternoon of 10th of May. Indian aircrafts did not even need to enter the Pakistani air-space.
