For Reagans mid-term election, it was pretty obvious he was going to win. The dems put up Mondale, as close as we can come in this day and age to an invisible man, and tied him with Geraldine. Not a known name, she didn't bring many votes to the table from her past performance, the media found murky ties to organized crime,
I really think that the Dems used that election to run a poll to see who would vote for a woman just because she was a woman.
I wonder if Sarah's entire purpose was to see if republicans would vote for a women just because she was a woman. She was a nobody, she was clearly clueless, an inappropriate person for the office... She just got out of control.
