Trump's kids worked in the Whitehouse. Giuliani's kid worked in the Whitehouse.
It was not just Trump. That scheme was considered wildly inappropriate so that "sons" of other politicians resigned when it became public. But not Hunter Biden. I am sorry but Joe Biden is not doing enough to separate his son from himself. And this latest scheme is just another evidence of that.
Trump
s family is allowed to "make a living" with countless business deals that enrich them at the expecns of tax dollars, and you pretend to be worried about an anonoous art sale. Fuck yourself with your bullshit.
I don't know who are you talking about, But Trump's kids should be in prison along with their dad. That wasn't their position. They are speaking entirely on Hunter Biden, not Trump's kids.It was not just Trump. That scheme was considered wildly inappropriate so that "sons" of other politicians resigned when it became public. So, we see so many complaints about the most ridiculously stupid things about Biden. And now, when something is served to the right-wing on a silver platter, it isn't quite as interesting.
Hunter Biden is what people would call a "black sheep". He has struggled with having to work for a living and has suffered with well known drug addiction issues as well as using his father as a sugar daddy to squeeze into some nice gigs that require little work and great pay.
So when there was an announcement that Hunter Biden was selling artwork, this really came in as about as big a surprise as the Lightning beating the Canadiens in the Stanley Cup finals.
I will say, the artwork looks surprisingly good (ghost artist?). Regardless, Hunter Biden is selling his art, again using his family connections to make money. There are concerns that this is a pay for play scheme to get access to President Biden. The White House assures us that it is all kosher and it will be impossible for Hunter Biden to know who bought the paintings. *cough*article said:Paintings by Hunter Biden are expected to fetch up to $500,000 (£360,000) apiece at auction this autumn.
And of course, the best system would be to have Hunter Biden sell the paintings Anonymously, so the buyers have no idea who drew the artwork they purchased. That would be the way to keep this clean, and not yet another gray edging towards black method of profiting off of his father's title.article said:When asked on Friday about the White House's reported role in the art sale, press secretary Jen Psaki said: "After careful consideration, a system has been established that allows for Hunter Biden to work in his profession within reasonable safeguards.
"Of course, he has the right to pursue an artistic career just like any child of a president has the right to pursue a career."
Had Donald Trump Jr done this, certainly would be taken notice of, especially when people noticed the pieces were taken from Trump Hotel bedrooms.
Hunter Biden is a piece of work, and it seems odd that this legit scandal takes so much less weight than the fake ones. The right just loves fake news.
Generally it isn't. But we aren't really talking about established artists here. So, we see so many complaints about the most ridiculously stupid things about Biden. And now, when something is served to the right-wing on a silver platter, it isn't quite as interesting.

Well, selling paintings ‘anonymously’ is not how the art world works.
Except we go back to the issue of pay for play. That value is extraordinarily more valuable than even the value of famous artwork. The name of the artist very much matters as well as their biography, where they studied, and under whom, the subject of the art, the genre, and of course, what someone is willing to pay for any given piece.
The quality of his work and what the art world —and the market thinks will determine if this is a good career move for Biden.
This is quite possible. The trouble is, this maneuver is following a recognizable pattern of profiting off his Dad.We none of us actually know him. Fir all we know, he had always wished to pursue art but instead followed the more traditional career paths of law school, lobbying, etc. for which he did not seem much cut out for.
Yes, he has suffered tragedy, but that doesn't give him a blank check and I can only call him on what I perceive as graft. He’s endured a great deal of tragedy in his life and now has to live under a great deal of scrutiny and the assumption that whatever career he pursues and whatever success he enjoys and indeed the clothes in his back are owed to his father’s position.
And what prevents buyer from stopping being anonymous after? The buyer is anonymous, not the seller... DUH.
The seller being anonymous would keep people from knowing it is the President's son, and there would be no ethical issues. With the buyers being anonymous, they are anonymous until they are in contact with Biden for the quid pro quo. This is dirty. Not too many people bragging about having artwork by the "President's son" at their home. The buyer is anonymous, not the seller... DUH. The buyer obviously knows the artist... the artist does not know the buyer so that there will not be a presumption of "tit for tat"... or the latin version of that.

He can paint as much as he wants but if you think selling for $500K a piece is fine for a starting artist I have a bridge to sell you. He's not allowed to paint?

The $75K estimate is likely quite high. Even that price, much less the $500K is known as...salesmanship/hyperbole/creating buzz/demand.
The idea that the buyers will not know the name of the painter is ludicrous. Those who wish to buy fine art always want/need/insist upon knowing the artist. .

Only an idiot imagines that Biden's paintings will sell for $500K.
Anyone willing to plunk down hundreds of thousands of dollars will insist upon knowing the identity and biography of the artist and the entire provenance of of the painting.
