I Worked at an Amazon Fulfillment Center; They Treat Workers Like Robots

Which he is today. The difference being that at the moment he robs people instead of just being given the money he wants.

I don't think that there would be as much addiction if people weren't hopeless and poverty stricken - but even if there were more, what's the harm to society? Addicts are a problem for society, because they steal to support their habits. Take away the need to steal, and the problem becomes theirs alone.
We need more educated people.
To do what? We already have more educated people than we have jobs for educated people.

People might benefit from an education, as individuals; but WE don't (as a society) need more than we already have.
But sadly, we live in a society where 40 year olds work at McDonald's demanding more money.

Yeah, that's crazy. The McDonalds jobs should be automated, and the 40 year olds should be given enough money to live comfortably without having to do shit jobs.

And $1,000/month isn't enough. In most places that won't even cover rent and food. There's no need for anyone to be poor in any modern developed nation.

Why don't you prefer a society where people take responsibility for their choices and life situation instead of demanding their employer cough up more money to them? All these people who say, "The employer should treat me like a human being and give me more money!" are the first ones who would quit a job if they won the lottery. They won't treat the boss like a human being. They'd be out of there so fast leaving the boss scrambling to find replacements. Yet, they DEMAND the boss treat THEM with respect. It's hypocrisy. Boss knows this. That's why a lot of bosses aren't sympathetic to the workers. They know these workers would screw them over and leave the very second a better opportunity comes along. So, don't complain about loyalty. There is none on either side.

With that being said, instead of the 40 year old demanding McDonald's pay him more, why didn't he better educate himself to get a better job? People are in those jobs for a reason: they are not the brightest bulbs in the house. If you're not very smart or flat out refuse to try, you can't take it out on your bosses who did work hard and put in the time and effort to manage a business.

Half-Life, is that what you say to crime victims? That they should take "responsibility" for their "choices" and "life situation" and meekly accept the crimes done to them rather than beg the government to protect them and catch criminals with other people's money and other people's lives?

Also, Half-Life, do you go to your boss's office each day and weep for him?

My guess is he does much more than that.

Why do you employ false dichotomies, instead of using reason and/or logic?

And when did I say ANYTHING about employers doing anything? I am talking about governments giving people money for nothing. There IS no employer.
All these people who say, "The employer should treat me like a human being and give me more money!" are the first ones who would quit a job if they won the lottery.
How do you know this, and why would it matter if they were?
They won't treat the boss like a human being. They'd be out of there so fast leaving the boss scrambling to find replacements.
Some might. Many wouldn't.
Yet, they DEMAND the boss treat THEM with respect. It's hypocrisy.
Maybe.
Boss knows this. That's why a lot of bosses aren't sympathetic to the workers.
What, because they are convinced that their hypothetical future actions would be hypocritical? That's literally insane.
They know these workers would screw them over and leave the very second a better opportunity comes along. So, don't complain about loyalty. There is none on either side.
I didn't say ANYTHING about loyalty. This is YOUR pointless derailing rant.
With that being said, instead of the 40 year old demanding McDonald's pay him more, why didn't he better educate himself to get a better job?
What the FUCK are you on about? I don't think McDonalds should pay him at all. I think he should be given money to do as he pleases, with his own time that he is not obliged to waste doing a job that a robot could do. And that McDonalds should get a robot.
People are in those jobs for a reason: they are not the brightest bulbs in the house. If you're not very smart or flat out refuse to try, you can't take it out on your bosses who did work hard and put in the time and effort to manage a business.
People are in those jobs for a large number of reasons. Mostly to do with pure misfortune. An example of which might include not being very intelligent.

Why should an adult be penalized for being of below average intelligence? Why would society decide NOT to carry all of its less fortunate members - and instead only carry certain classes of unfortunates, while forcing the rest to suffer poverty, hunger, homelessness and indignity? How does it benefit society to NOT help such unfortunates?

It's their fault, they didn't pray enough!

I'm guessing if he thinks $1k/month is a luxury, that he lives in his mom's basement, so....
