• Welcome to the Internet Infidels Discussion Board.

I’m a cop. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me.

and I repeat, I will not answer any more of your crazy questions, and I find your continued obsession with this situation to be very weird. You have already shown yourself to be detached from any sort of rational reality with regard to this *discussion* by imagining that I disrupted the que outside of the park, that I was drunk, that I was a decoy for bombers, or that I was hysterical. You arbitrarily bring up math and talking on cell phone while driving and all manner of unrelated nonsense. Because of your entirely irrational behavior towards me from your very first post to me about my exoerience with the bully cop, I have zero intention of discussing it any further with you. You need to get yourself under control and stop obsessing on me and my daughter.

But you sure blame police for drunk driving.
yet another really weird, out of nowhere, non-factual statement by you about me.
I rest my case.

It is you who is weird. I know most kids have cell phones now, and the main reason I believe safety. Someone like you sure knows that already. So you being weirdly obtuse is not warranted here.
So I repeat my question, did she have a cellphone?

What case?

All you've done is ask for the sort of personal information most posters here wouldn't share with you, and pretend RavenSky's refusal to oblige somehow proves your point about cops not being at fault when people say some of them are abusive.
Since when having or not having a cellphone is a personal information?

Since when are questions about a poster's daughter's cellphone relevant in a discussion about how cops should behave around citizens and vice versa? I don't know what purpose you think the information might serve, but from where I'm sitting it looks like another attempt to change the topic away from cops behaving badly and onto RavenSky's temperament, mothering, and life choices.

Argumentum Ad Let's-talk-about-you-instead.
You have not answered my question

The answer is: since creepy guys posting in chat rooms and discussion boards began asking girls if they have a cellphone.

As reported, cop looks bad, there is no need to admit it. But that's a description from interested party.
Whereas in both my anecdotes I was not really an interested party.

So we can ignore your posts about Russia illegally annexing Crimea, and tell you to calm down and stop being so emotional. Right?

Have you ever been to the Smithsonian Museums in Washington D.C.? I've been there a couple of times. They have the exact same security screening process RavenSky described. People with bags must go through one line. People without bags must go through a different line that moves faster. Mothers and children were routinely separated at the screening point and reunited once inside the museums because in nearly every case the mothers were carrying purses, diaper bags, and all the gear the family was packing around and the kids were unburdened. In some cases fathers were carrying camera bags, but that was unusual.

Why separate? Do they actually force those without bags to take the shorter line???

These days my wife normally gets Pre-Check at our home airport--but never uses it as we go through the regular line together.

Is there any place in the wide world where a cop is more in danger of being shot than America?

Any place with active terrorism.

Note to self: Always supply child with their own bag. It can be a small empty nylon bag from my own filled with a thing or two from mine and promptly returned after security.

I, too, and baffled by the idea of separating children. But yes, I've seen it. We had to have a separate arrangement when we chaperoned a class trip in DC and needed to stay together through security. It was a pre-arranged deal to make it happen.

This seems most appropriate here.

Besides not challenging cops, best not to dance around them either.

Alexander Bok had himself filmed while doing a challenge that Ellen Degeneres gave. Sneak up behind strangers and dance until they notice you. The challenge went well until he tried dancing behind a cop. (2:28 mark)

I have nothing against you I just doubt that your version is what really happened and this doubt is supported by statistics.

Then you are engaging in poor thinking. I doubt that Shaquille O'Neal is over 7 feet tall and this doubt is supported by statistics.

Shaquille O'Neal does not complain about number of over 7 feet people on the street.
So, it is you who are engaging in poor thinking.

Nyet, is anti-Putin stupid people who are engaging, they should not!

Mexico maybe. Most of south America, I doubt it, having been there several times.

Venezuela has pretty insane gun murder rate. And in Brazil there are places where police simply does not show up (for their own safety)

Fair call. I just doubt that it happens in most of South America. It may be the case in some countries though.

I thought barbos was pro-Putin?

He is. I'm mocking his position, while childishly teasing him about his presumed accent and English usage.

Actually, Barbos' English is quite good.

BTW, when I lived in Israel, I had a band called Elvis In Wonderland. There were four of us: a Georgian drummer (the country, not the US state), a Kazakh guitarist, an Israeli bassist, and me, the American front man. We all teased each-other mercilessly about our respective accents. My limping Hebrew caused the others to switch to English more than once. Anyways, I learned a lot about the propaganda that the former Soviets had grown up with. I spent a lot of time at the Russian cultural center as well, which taught me even more. I cannot count the times that I heard "you are American? But I thought you were all rich and arrogant!"

I told them that Americans are rich and arrogant, but I wasn't, so they made me leave. :innocent1:

Non sequitur. My point was that just because something is not true most of the time doesn't mean it can't be true some of the time. You should not use statistical averages to decide how you deal with individual cases. You are just admitting you are prejudiced against RavenSky. You are discounting her story simply because you think most stories are discountable. Even if that is true, that it not a valid basis for discounting her story.

Non sequitur. My point was to give an outside prospective.
I have never said that police is never at fault. I said most of the time public is at fault, this means sometimes police IS at fault. So your "points" are were pointless and unnecessary.
