They are being doxed because they are acting like entitled assholes who have no accountability. Under Obama, ICE agents didn't need masks. Obama kicked out more undocumented people than Trump. But ICE wasn't hated then as they are now. Why? What's the difference. The difference starts at the top. Obama wanted ICE to focus on "felons, not families". Obama focused on prioritizing criminals, which softened public perception. Obama wanted ICE to be run more similar to routine law enforcement agency conducting targeted raids. He wanted them operated as matter of fact, follow local rules, have embedded reporters, be nice, work with the local police, don't be assholes.

The Trump administration has done the opposite. They are targeting brown people demanding papers. They are using tricks (baiting children, using corrosion, intimidation). Trump wants ICE to use aggressive tactics to intimidate, hoping some will "self-deport". Trump sends more ICE into democratic cities than republican cities in order to punish people that didn't vote for him.

Under Obama, ICE operated with less public scrutiny, less polarizing rhetoric, and a narrower enforcement focus. Under Trump, ICE has become a hyper-political goon squad.

Good post. Obama (aka the "deporter-in-chief") rarely gets mentioned in all this and I think its worthwhile to examine what he did (and didn't do). While I believe your points to be mostly spot on, there are other factors I can see contributing to the disparity between Obama and Trump's ICE. Namely, it is people on the left who are most vocal and active in their distaste for ICE (obviously). And Obama was largely liked and respected by the left, while Trump of course, is despised. So, one would expect much more protest activity during Trump's term than Obama's, and the mainstream media would be more critical of Trump as well. Also, it was a different time back then, regarding social media. Between 2009 and 2016, video recording and posting was not nearly as ubiquitous as it is now. And its the videos that are causing the biggest stir. And of course, there wasn't AI video back then like there is now, which can deceive and exacerabate what is really going on.

Snopes has some good articles regarding Obama's administration on ICE. There is a lot of misinformation that is corrected, but it was certainly not all sunshine and unicorns.

I don't understand the need to make shit up in order to show how bad things are. The attempt at authoritarian rule is self evident. Who carries around their birth certificate with them???

I used to. Moving around as much as I did, it was just easier to keep track of it that way.

Now that I'm mostly settled down and not constantly moving around, I carry around my passport, instead.

I do still carry my DD214 on me.

The almost universalality of wearing masks by ICE tells me that ICE has been instructed to be particularly brutal and the masks protect them from being prosecuted for their brutality.

The persons are typically minorities with Latin or foreign names, perhaps with immigrant parents or grandparents. It's the documented cases that make people with foreign-sounding names be extra careful to have extra documentation. This makes it subjective: it depends on characteristics of the person. The undue skepticism is a failure to be open-minded to new facts and place one's self in the shoes of those persons.

The crude comments aside, way too many people taking videos in that video. It sounds like someone got their pic taken with ICE. There was no indication that anything was wrong... so why is everyone taking videos (and I'm being kind for not dropping the F-bomb over them all taking portrait videos?

Serious question: the narrator called the young ladies "women," but someone else is calling them girls and teenage girls. They're calling them "little girls" on social media. I know that TSwizzle and Derec get very upset about this stuff because Epstein wasn't technically a pedophile and also Trump only verifiably sexually assaulted some barely adult women from his Calendar Girl company. So why would TSwizzle go ahead and post such thing if they could be adults.

Just to add some context--these were persons at a Zipps Sports Grill which is kind of like a Dave and Buster's--it has video games, restaurant, pool tables, and alcoholic drinks for adults. I have read that 15 of these locations in Arizona were served with felony warrants for violations of law, but those were not pertaining to ICE, yet ICE was showing up for some reason. So ICE showed up. Somehow, the ladies were involved in hero worship of the masked agents and asked for photos with them. Were the ladies drunk? Or just proud of the racism? Or something else?

I really can't say how old they were. Were they 20-something like the models sexually assaulted by Trump? Or were they like 16-17ish like the age of the girl needing braces that Gaetz, (the guy Trump wanted to be Attorney General to oversee the Epstein files) was "helping?"

Whatever the case, the c-word isn't very nice. It's rude.
