In Venezuela, we couldn’t stop Chávez. Don’t make the same mistakes we did.

This is so silly. Trump may speak from the hip; act like a buffoon; embarrass his family; etc. Yet, this comparison is an example of how deep the left is in crazy sauce. Whereas Chavez and Maduro sought to massively expand the state at the expense of the individual and private enterprise, Trump and the Republican Congress are set to drastically reduce the size of government. You may disagree with his and Congress's plan to slash and repeal, but a totalitarian socialist dictator he ain't.

At least they won't have as many strains of bacteria developing resistance to antibiotics.

Where are you getting the idea that government will be reduced? So far, from what we've heard, there is going to be a big bump in military spending, big bump in infrastructure spending, and Trump has stated repeatedly during the campaign that he is against cuts to the entitlement programs.

Also, no one, including the article, made the claim he is a totalitarian socialist dictator. However, he has taken steps to consolidate power in the executive and is laying the groundwork to weaken checks on that power and other democratic institutions.

He is also treating our allies the same, or at times even worse, than our enemies.

So, he's just following his predecessor?
